I hope tournaments won't use it either, but they probably won't so I'm not worried. If it isn't in ranked, or enabled for the arcade version in Japan, then it's unlikely Evo will use it.

Man, i would like to have vanilla/super sim back but not if he has to fight the toptier of Hongkong edition. This mode will be great for moneymatches regardless: )
Thinking bout vanilla, does anyone know what happened to Iyo? only Japanese sim you hear about nowadays is YHC Mochi

Yo, Alioune playing Juri on Fight Night right now.

Chun-Li vs Cammy and now Juri vs. Cammy. dafuq is this.

lol Kbrad is too funny man. That guy would be MC level of popularity in Esport.

Kbrad has beaten infiltration twice now, crazy. I hope NA & EU sf4 players can keep the grind up and play this well at Evo. The dream of a grand finals with no asian representative gotta stay alive.
lol that everyone has forgotten (or never knew?) about vanilla gen. I know the likelihood of tournament play in that mode is low, but the potential money matches & exhibitions have me salivating...

Let's not forget, though - this came before SoCal Regionals. I definitely think, though, that KBrad going against a surprise Juri from Alioune helped him when Infiltration picked Chun-Li against him in Grand Finals at SCR.
Speaking of SoCal Regionals, I definitely wouldn't mind seeing Snake Eyez in Season 3.

Vanilla Gen has nothing that makes current Gen good tho. No canceleable crMP, no stHP > stMK target combo are pretty big.

Snake Eyez has this one problem - he gets blown up free when fighting against any named international player.
I personally haven't seen or remember him winning a game against any out-of-towner top 8 contender in any major.

I'm pretty sure he beat some during his EVO runs these last years. I mean, he got tied for 9th in 2013, that's pretty good. :p

What a waste of development time then. The ideal place for it would've been behind an optional switch in endless mode (i.e. where most "for fun" matches happen), now the only time it'll ever be used is in occasional offline casuals.

Does anyone have any advice for getting the headbutt into ultra down a little easier on keyboard? I cannot do this consistently yet. I will keep on playing and trying it of course.

Everyone should watch the latest Gootecks & Mike Ross Show because it's the best episode yet by a large margin. + Show Spoiler +All them pros playing casuals and a godlike Infiltration toying with the others. PR Balrogs entrance might be one of the funniest thing I've ever seen.

When he streamed towards the end of last year, he said that the PC version had the best netcode. I don't want it to change with ultra. Since I only have a laptop and no console, I'm willing to trust him on that point.
I was talking more about that I don't want the netcode to change for Ultra's PC release

That set between Alioune and Xian on ESGN was pretty damn amazing.

Season finale of ESGN was incredible. Gootecks and Mike Ross were amazing when things got intense and stopped being just-another-match, K-Brad is fun as always, and, well, I'll keep it spoiler-free, but congrats to the winner.

It's not a waste of development time, though, considering everything they added was already developed. It was a lazy design choice to begin with.

It is sort of, but what bothers me about it is that a lot of tournament players want to give Edition Select a try, either as a side tournament or maybe next year supplanting the main tournament. If tournament organizers agree, then the only way to get practice is to play offline which shuts out a lot of potential competitors.
