http://sonichurricane.com/?page_id=1702 They apply to many fighting games, not just the SF4 series, so it will be more helpful in the long run than starting off trying to learn advanced character-specific strategies, gimmicks, and setups.

I've also watched a few tutorials so I roughly know the basics of the game. Are there any areas which I should focus on for a fighting game noob like me? Step one make sure you can do inputs perfectly Step two make sure you can execute all the moves perfectly Step three, do BnB's perfectly

They're a whole lot lower risk because of the much smaller whiff recovery and you get better positioning after landing one for mixups. Most people don't try to tech throws against Zangief or throw him much anyway, so they won't get teched too often. I think Zangiefs could use them a little more than they do. Can't you not do that too fast? I'm not sure if I tried it with input display on. Anyway, as for the move itself, it's mostly for occasionally throwing opponents off mentally. It honestly isn't that useful most of the time. In a matchup where s.hk is a good poke and antiair and gets a lot of use, once you're afraid you've established a pattern of using s.hk, use the fake kick in a tense neutral position to make them start second-guessing. Sometimes it can bait a jump or something stupid. It's not quite the same, but see how/when some shotos use s.lk for fakes. Also use fake kick for mindgames/styling if it can fit into your offensive persona, particularly like if you knock them down in the corner and have nothing to do while they're on the ground.

Whole thing is worth watching, but if you don't like flash metroid then skip to the poongko part. Did you know poongko has a juri?

He does insane rushdowns and mixups while I end up turtling with him. That's why I stopped playing seth after they removed his yoga sniper ![]()

Haven't had a chacne to watch the video yet but I imagine it's alot like WeirdNEO or Juicebox wins with her, people seem to honestly not know what to do against Juri, they also seem to respect her moves way to much, even lk pinwheel is -4 on block i think & EX they can just throw you out of startup, I will say her corner fireball pressure is so good, +10 on a hit or +4 on block is nice, and allows for like a c.Mk > Low fireball release > Sweep.

Poongko's execution and knowledge was impressive, but i enjoyed the comedy factor of mike, flash, and gootecks.
