Withcer 2 for 3 bucks seems like a great deal until you play the game riddled with many dumb mini games. Now I want my 3 bucks back, I could buy an enjoyable coffee for that or something

You mean the whole 3 semi optional (i think you needed to win a fist fight once for some quest, or at least it was one of ways of doing it) "bar games" make Witcher 2 riddled with mini games ? :D At least find something realistic to complain about instead of making up some bullshit

Its not semi optional, the game doesnt even begin until you win 4 dumb fist fights. Quick who can mash the WADS keys faster! Much immersion, such RPG.

you might have to go through a few of those to advance the story but from that post everyone knows you haven't really done all there is to do in the witcher 2. don't quit 1 hour into the game

Theres tons of threads and articles over the reddit and internet speculating and talking about Bioshock Infinite. Take a look.
How did Comstock have prophecy powers, or such that, that gained him power in Columbia? Did he use the Lutece technology or something?
And how did he have influence over the the Lutece in the first place? Do we just assume this setting?
I don't think he had any influence. Lutece made Columbia happen with the support from US government and Comstock was the one overseeing the construction, ending up to be the leader of Columbia.
What was Booker's initial debt that made him gave away Anna? Does that have to do with Battle at the Knee or something.
Gambling debts. If Booker gave away Anna, his debts would be wiped.

Been a while since I played but this is what I remember: + Show Spoiler +
1. Comstock's prophecy powers stem from the fact that these events have happened many, many times before. There are a few hints to this--the Luteces' tally board at the beginning of the game where all the results are the same is because many different Bookers all passed through, and so on. Also, that each time you die w/o Elizabeth to revive you, you emerge from your "office" because that's another version of you starting the game and getting to the point where you died. So in a sense it is related to the Lutece tech.
2. The Lutece twins likely had their own unstated goals. This becomes even more apparent in the Burial at Sea DLCs, so if you've not played those I won't spoil anything.
3. I'm not sure. It may have been debt for all the drinking he did after Wounded Knee, but I'm not certain [Oh right, gambling.]. After the baptism, he became Comstock and founded Columbia, eventually needing an heir despite his wife's infertility so he went back in time and bought his own former self's child because he knew his past self, being in debt, would sell.

Lutece's machine opened time/space holes. He could literally see the future (or possible futures, which was enough). Combined with future tech and the Plasmids from Rapture, it was definitely enough to make people think he was a genuine prophet. Enough to make him start believing it too.
And I'm pretty sure his influence over Lutece was purely monetary at first. He'd built up enough of a cult to have a lot of cash on hand to invest in her project.

GTFO, Witcher 2 is just the best RPG of the last 5 Years. You are stupid if you only played the Mini-Games who are all OPTIONAL!

I would've said that any Pokemon game released in the last 5 years was the best RPG but...to each his own :D
Just under 19 hours to go. Here's an overview from what I own on the front page to help if people are looking for last minute deals. Feel free to chip in with your own:
Garry's Mod - I'm guessing everyone owns this now. Can be a great fun sandbox but frankly I've not played it in years, can get a bit stale eventually. I remember putting a lot of mods on it to add different planets and space rocket building and Stargates though. Good to mess about with.
Kerbal Space Program - Really, really nice space program simulator. Definitely a must own if you've got any interest in space.
Bioshock Infinite - One of my favourite games of all time frankly. Elizabeth is adorable and the world looks gorgeous. I found the combat to be perfectly good. Gets some hate from older Bioshock fans but its still a great game.
Prison Architect - For the price definitely worth it. Simple but very clean graphics on an extremely fun game to mess about with.
Alien Isolation - Not played too much of this but what I HAVE played is very good and atmospheric. Got universal acclaim over the past year so I don't think you can go wrong unless you just don't like horror or Alien.
Age of Empires 2 HD - Well...its Age of Empires 2...in HD...I'm not sure what to add to that. AoE2 was always a great game. If you're up for a nostalgia trip or just want an updated copy of AoE2 then at that price its a steal.
Payday 2 - Lots of fun. Kinda like Left 4 Dead but involving robbing stuff instead of fighting zombies. The UI for actually picking missions I don't like much but its got a fairly nice perks and weapons system.
CSGO - Bought it recently. Had a blast, though it feels really quite different from CSS.
Saints Row 4 - Great game. Actually don't like it as much as SR3 because you end up...well...overpowered as hell. Completely nuts as a game, takes absolutely nothing seriously, lot of fun but can feel a bit shallow because its incredibly easy to play and it jumped the shark so hard it went into orbit. Better to think of it as a superpower sandbox.
Skyrim - Great game. For that price its hard not to recommend. As with all TES games the caveat is that its absolutely crazy good with mods. But unlike with Oblivion even without mods its a fairly solid game to play.
This War of Mine - Exceptional game. Not a lot of "fun" but very thoughtful and provocative.
Shadow of Mordor - Many people's game of the year. Assassin's Creed in Middle Earth with a really nice "miniboss" sort of system with regards to orc lieutenants. Definitely worth a play. I bought it on launch for full price and don't regret it.
Mount & Blade Warband - Mount and Blade is a nice game. For that price again...its hard not to recommend it. Interesting as a system and with a ton of player-made modules that you can add. By itself its not bad, but realistically it effectively acts as a "base system" to add player mods onto it. If you get it and like Game of Thrones I recommend the "A Clash of Kings" module.
Rome II - This was horribly buggy at launch. Its improved much now but I'd hesitate to call it great. I like it more than most of the recent ones but that's not saying much since I think every Total War game since the first Rome game hasn't been that great. Its okay but personally I don't find it grips me as much as the first Medieval and the first Rome did.
Euro Truck Simulator 2 - Actually a really, really good game. Very relaxing and strangely addictive. Worth it for that price. If you don't mind shelling out a bit more I'd recommend getting the Christmas Bundle for Going East and the High Power Cargo Pack.

I also felt cheated of my time after finishing Witcher 2. It has good moments but in general I didn't like the environments, maps and combat system. I kept going to get to the end since the story is somewhat good and I liked one or two of the characters. After a while I just turned on cheats to get through the combat and on with the parts I could enjoy.
I personally would have liked the game more as a 2h movie than the game it was. Going through the game in youtube with just dialogue/scenes is something I would recommend over the game itself.
I also expected it after not liking the combat in Witcher 1 (didn't finish the game) so didn't buy it at release but only after seeing very positive opinions after release. Might be good with some mods, don't know.
This isn't really the thread for this discussion though.
