Oh dear, they're still selling that Game of Thrones RPG, even on sale it's still overpriced for how terrible it is. =/

All I know is that it doesn't work on Windows XP at all, made me pretty sad. The gameplay looked lots of fun on totalbiscuits wtf is video - if you're one of those people who can enjoy head- and crotchshots over and over and over again. =D

Sniper Elite is fucking horrible. It's Sniper: Ghost Warrior in World War 2 and third person.
Seriously don't bother, it's not worth a cent over $10 or maybe $15, so wait until winter sale IMO.

Any opinions on Krater, Gratuitious Tank Battles, or Eye? Am i missing anything else interesting that is on sale at the moment, considering i already own witcher 2 and amnesia, and am not really interested in Fallout:NV for some reason?

Good point. My hours are gonna be busy from this round of summer sales anyways.

NORMAL For gods sake Normal. Play SoC and then CoP. The more popular mods are AMK/ZoA for SoC. AMK makes the game much more difficult (not in fake difficulty though, real difficulty that challenges you) and adds a lot of content, such as blowouts and a bunch of other stuff. ZoA implements AMK and a bunch of other smaller mods like graphical enhancers and minimods of the like, and then some even harder difficulty factors. The only CoP mod worth its weight is MISERY, which is amazing. However you should still play CoP vanilla first so you can understand why it's so fucking great. Also NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER USE ANY COMPLETE MOD EVERIt basically turns the game into Call of STALKER. + Show Spoiler + -All weapons have their accuracy increased 10-20% - All damage decreased by few percents. - Weight limit increased by 10kg, maximum being 70kg. In vanilla the Exo-suit enabled up to 80kg! - Limits NPC's eye sight distance so they can't spot you from beyond ~100 meters. =You see them always first. Said to remove enemies skill to spot you from"unrealistic distances". - Sound radius of knife and other critical sounds such as falling dead bodies, grass, and footsteps greatly reduced - Reduced the sound distance of death cries - Repair Kit - A special item to the game that allows you to repair weapons and armors out in the Zone. Can be purchased or found. (Not necessarily a bad thing, but I digress) - The bar trader and Screw now sell weapons and armor repair services. - Elite Nightvision - Black & white night vision based on the psy_antenna postprocess effect. Replaces the original UV-based blue NV, and lets you see perfectly in the darkness, be there light sources or not. - The old, “green” night vision has much less noise and blur. NVs don't emit any audio noise anymore. (can't be heard by NPCs/mutants) - scientific suits with 90% rad protection now feature an anti-rad injection system. - bandages auto-apply at 10% health. - enabled a tracer effect for armor-piercing bullets, making them visually distinguishable when use - allows looting cash from bodies (CS & CoP only) - You can BRIBE hostile factions to leave you alone. - And much more
They advertise Complete as "vanilla experience", as "only bugfixing visual overhaul". In reality they change the gameplay shittons, usually only making the experience EASIER than vanilla game. Their bug-fixing reputation is also overrated, Complete09 only uses older beta-version of ZRP as its base, and CS & CoP versions tend to add MORE bugs and annoyances.
Also LURK is cool I guess for SoC. If you can't enjoy the games vanilla though you won't enjoy them modded, as the game only gets harder from then on. Also play on Master, it makes the game far more enjoyable when you and the enemies dont take 40 bullets to kill. EDIT: There are much much more mods out there, but those are the more famous ones that you should bother with at first. Vanilla for both games should last you for quite a long time though
Hey, I'm just installed Stalker SoC and am about to play through it again (my last playthrough was way back on 1.0xxx4 I believe).
The game was buggy as hell and I really want some mod to adress this. In addition the graphics/weather/sound presented by the complete mod seems pretty awesome. The features which really concern me about it is the auto-applying bandages and the "can't see above 100 meters"-change.
Can anyone tell me if especially the latter is really as bad (aka "you always see everyone first") or is it still somewhat realistic/fun to play? I can deal with the repair/bribe/OP NV stuff since I don't have to use those, but that single feature sounds as if it can really ruin the game.
Are there any other mods out for the STALKER series which improve graphics/bugs/sound but don't touch gameplay too much? If yes, recommendations would be awesome. <3
Edit to specify what type of mod I'm looking for: Bugfixes. If it enhances graphics/sounds/weather, cool, but not a must. If it changes core gameplay mechanics (NPCs can't see me when they should, I sprint like someone from Jamaica on crack, I can carry as much as an elephant etc etc.) it can go to hell. :>

I had no idea what Eye was prior to your post, but now I looked at the trailers and I have to say it looks really really fun. Since the gameplay trailers can be deceptive, I'd love to hear from someone that plays/played it whether the classes really have as much utility and the opportunity to use their utility as often as the trailer seems to indicate.
Somehow I have a feeling that if it worked on the trailer level it would have gotten a lot more recognition, so I reckon something is definitely wrong with that game. I wonder what though.

You miss out on AI wars if you're into 4x type of games. It literally offers the best AI I have ever seen in any game. In fact it's so smart that it's scary.

Loads of time playing SimCity 2000 has taught me a little about strong bridges.

Easily a 9/10 if you like RPG. I put more than 40 hour in it without rushing.

So fallout 3 complete is also on sale for $5. I played about 10 hours of new vegas and the story just didn't hook me. Would I like fallout 3 or is the story just as lame and cheesy?
