Total War is totally worth every penny. If you don't want the whole series, pick a time period that you enjoy the most. Outside of that, most folks choose Rome: Total War as the best of the bunch.

I can recommend Plant vs Zombies. Just a fun strategy game to pass some time.

It's the Indie bundle, try refreshing. Witcher 2 is on sale, definitely getting it.

ok thanks  looks like I will be picking it up soon. If not the whole game Rome for sure cause that is the one I really want to play.

I asked around yesterday at different forums and Rome and Medival 2 seems to be the ones that's most recommended by far. Shogun as well but that's not in the pack.
There's bundles for the rome and medival if you want the expansions as well.

Plants vs zombies is some of the most fun i have had in a long time. I had it on my phone and spent hours playing.

For those considering to get Witcher 2. It's also on sale on www.gog.com -- might be cheaper depending on yor region. Definitely cheaper if you want both 1 and 2
And there's a special deal on gog for those who want to get both parts (which I would recommend if you enjoy RPGs and haven't played the first one yet).

The original Witcher is also on sale for -75%.
It doesn't usually say it, but most of the franchise goes on sale. I almost missed Sins of a Solar Empire: Trinity at -75% because it only lists the newer game.
What was the consensus on Alan Wake? Is it action-adventure, or more of a suspense game?

im no expert, i played it only so far that i had 1 fight.
The fight was me and some scouts against bandits in a housing complex.
It felt similar to Battlefield combat. Cover, sneaking, shotgun in your face is a 1 shot etc.
The world is open and it seems to be a lot like an elderscrolls game where there is not much scripted, but just general rules and the game creates interesting situations on its own.
The game felt quite difficult. And i dont mean enemies have 12556 times more hp and dmg, i mean the same way battlefield is difficult.

I was waiting to see if Witcher 2 would go on Steam sale for anything more than 60% off.
Going with GoG, however, got me both Witcher and Witcher 2 about for about £3 less.
