Yeah Zone Reclamation Project is great. If you want the bug fixes without the shitty engine changes and ridiculous balance changes, get ZRP. That's all really Complete does, steals ZRP's bug fixes, adds more bugs, and makes it into Call of STALKER

...Generally meaning who? People who never touched a Fallout game, nonetheless an RPG? Because that's the only type of people I see who say Fallout 3 is better than New Vegas. People who said "Fallout 3 was my first RPG and it was so cool!"
Fallout 3 was good back then I guess but New Vegas outshines in every single department. New Vegas is absolutely the better game, both in terms of being a better game and being a better Fallout.
Let's not forget the biggest immersion killer of them all in Fallout 3: The fact that the bombs dropped almost 3 centuries earlier, and the game makes it out like they were dropped last week. Lorewise people are building railroads and farms, industrializing and have massive networks of electricity but Fallout 3 was just like, "Oh yeah the bombs just dropped it's a nuclear wasteland still." Not to mention all the other parts of basic fallout canon it shits on. And even beyond completely shitting on Fallout canon, gameplay wise as well New Vegas offers much more.

As far as I'm concerned, the majority thinks Fallout 3 is better than New Vegas, I haven't tried New Vegas yet, so I have yet to see for myself.
Unless you liked Fallout 1/2.
I didn't like Fallout 1 or 2, I like Fallout 3, I haven't tried New Vegas yet

Bullshit. New Vegas is the better game of course. Gameplaywise they fixed alot of annoying things and the game is definitly better.

I was pretty skeptical when I started playing it because I normally don't like RPGs at all but I really liked it. Couldn't stop playing. One of the best games I've played and I'd give it a 9.5/10. It has some things that can be improved, like the combat for example, but they don't really detract much from the overall experience which is awesome.

AHAHAHAHAHAHHA
So let me fucking get this straight. Despite it being an overwhelming majority of Fallout and RPG fans finding New Vegas to be the better game in every way, you're going to hold true to "As far as I'm concerned, the majority thinks Fallout 3 is better"? And most importantly you are saying Fallout 3 is better than New Vegas when you haven't even tried it.
Please.
Fallout 3 was a good game that I hold dear to my heart but New Vegas was an improvement in every single fucking way and almost every RPG fan out there agrees with me. I mean fuck, let's just play a little numbers game here:
http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_3_quests http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout:_New_Vegas_quests
Just have a little fun making that comparison. And before you go YEAH BUT QUALITY =/= QUANTITY, the quality of Fallout 3 quests were significantly lesser as well.

Intimidate me? What?
Do you know what that word means? I'm laughing at you because of what you said. That's not intimidation. You're saying that Fallout 3 is better when you haven't even played New Vegas. That's me laughing at you. Would you like me to take the time to write out a huge post explaining all the gameplay additions and fixes that New Vegas brings that makes it an objectively better and more balanced game? And go into the extreme retardation that is Fallout 3's story and how it shits on Fallout canon and how it consistently breaks its own immersion?
It's not you intimidating me and I don't want you to "take back what you said", I'm genuinely interested here dude. It shocks me that people can just brush aside such a great RPG in New Vegas, especially when they haven't even played it. As I linked before:
http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_3_quests http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout:_New_Vegas_quests
Fallout 3 was a FANTASTIC game, at the time. However, going back and playing it a second time after New Vegas just felt like pulling teeth. It did so much wrong. I played it a shit ton back in the day but still. It's not even just Fallout1/Fallout2 fans that enjoy it more. I haven't met a single person who has played New Vegas full and through who said they thought it was worse than F3. Not a single one.
Pick up New Vegas on the sale, you and anyone else who has not played it. It's easily one of the best RPG's in released in the past decade, arguably the best.

I tried to play New Vegas and it didn't quite get me hooked. I'm kind of a graphics whore, so that may be part of the reason why I couldn't get into it.

Jesus christ, the amount of repeats is sickening. Same fucking deals get cycled over and over and over and over and over.
|
I hate the Witcher 2. Everytime it's on flash / communtiy / daily it taunts me "Buy me. You want to play me".
But I only have a 5770 graphic card and wanted to wait until I upgrade it Because I know it would look like shit with that old & cheap card. Aargh....

I felt the same. You have no idea how beautiful you can make this game.
Some of the more popular ones are EVE, Fellout, URWLified skies, and Ojo Bueno.

i can't decide if i want to pull the trigger on fallout 3. I've never played any in the series. Hrm.

thanks! I might actually give this another whirl then. I really like Skyrim because of its beauty and architecture, will give New Vegas another shot if it has varying landscapes.

I thought New Vegas was pretty good graphics wise. Did you mean that you couldn't get into the whole post apocalyptic theme it was using?

I actually have to reinstall my mods since I reformatted, so if you want to hold back I can PM you my modlist when I'm done so you can narrow down your search a bit.

Yeah, sure shoot! Go ahead! I might not play it immediately, but I'll put it on my list.
I had an awesome Skyrim character and when I reformatted it; I lost everything T_T

Yeah I know that feel. I have to restart from the beginning of my great New Vegas game I had going. :|
But whatever, gives me another reason to do some whacked up build. Maybe I'll actually get around to finishing Lonesome Road this time around too.
BTW every Fallout DLC is 100% worth it, even Dead Money.
