so, i bought frozen synapse and i think it is really good.
Its hard to explain, its abstract and has simple rules, but the combat system where you and the opponent play out the turns simultaniously in real time makes it really fun. Its also a bit randomized, so it doesnt turn into a puzzle game.
Also, i have a copy of it for trade if anyone has a cheap game lying around.
total biscuit has made a wtf is on the alien zombie megadeath too, it is one of the games in the bundle i mentioned in my last post. Get it, it costs less than a meal for 5 games and 2 of them are awesome.

I'm tempted to get it but I don't know if it's a game that I will play in the long term or a game with a brilliant idea behind it that I'll play for a couple days then shelve away.
Bought Wargame: European Escalation in this weekends sale, and so far I can highly recommend it. RTS in the tradition of world in conflict, only much more complex. Multiplayer seems very interesting also.
warhammer 40000: space marine on sale, does anyone recommend it? i'm actually interested in it because of the multiplayer, but i heard something about the community dying out a while ago.
Single player is fun, multiplayer....depends. The main problem is that the matchmaking system is horrible. I have honestly never seen such a bad system. It is the classical CoD style p2p thing without servers, it tends to lag a lot, and about every 5 minutes there is a host migration for no apparent reason, which stops the gameplay for a few seconds. IF you manage to get a game which doesn't lag, and without constant host migrations, it is fun, and the horde mode is pretty fun too.
That being said, i would say that it is worth 7 bucks for the singleplayer alone. Slaughtering giant hordes of orcs is fun.
its not released yet but is on presale, does anyone know somethign about the walking dead? they mentioned there will be chapters or so, will they be like dlc or full prize games?

The game's short, but brutal and fun. If you like warhammer 40k universe, it's a lot of fun to play as a spacemarine, destroying everyone in huge flow of blood.
Multiplayer is okay. It's like the ME3 Multi kinda, coop against waves of monsters. Repetitive but fun with friends.
What? There is a deathmatch option and I don't even play the game.
EDIT: 30th of April - UFO: Afterlight -75% 9,99€ =>2,50€ Relax hardcore X-Com nerds! It's not as bad as one might think. Actually, it's the best of UFO Cenega's trilogy, imho. Strongly suggest it for anyone who feels nostalgic for some rewamped UFO/X-Com action while waiting for Xenonauts or Enemy Unknown.
Generally, cartoon style, geo management game with tactical combat based on X-Com series. Good gameplay, pretty challenging on higher difficulties. First playthrough might go above 40 hours easily if you enjoy it.
This is mostly a nostalgia trip but today on the daily deal an amazing old school game is on sale, yes the magnificent Wolfenstein 3D, Spear of Destiny and Return to Castle Wolfenstein. The Wolf Pack is $3.75 if you want a trip down memory lane or did not play this games as a kid, this is possibly the best chance to grab it until a big sale. All that wall hugging for secret passages, the ultimate FPS experience IMO
tropico 4 seems to be completely free until monday. Which is perfect because if its like tropico 3, then this is exactly how long it is interesting and fun to play.
My friend bought Wolfenstein 3D last night. Game is a blast and comes with the sounds and everything. I purchased Portal 2 today for a little over $6. Steam has a lot of good games on sale this week.
LoL! I got Portal 2 for free from STEAM at the Winter-Event. For Skyrim I paid only 27€ (Retail-Box with Soundtrack and Map) at CyberMonay@Amazon and for CoH Gold I paid 2.49€ on STEAM.
That's true, everybody with Steam got Portal 2 for free, bought Skyrim for 27€ in retail and already bought CoH for 2.49€! Not the best deals ever ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^
I was actually thinking yesterday, that if Company of Heroes goes on sale soon, I'll buy it.
