I'd be interested to see how the scaling changes in the patch. I wish they'd add a poison weapon upgrade, at the moment it feels like you either go elemental, +15 or chaos. Raw and Crystal are worthless at the moment and the difference between Magic/Enchanted and Divine/Occult is negligible when maxed out.

I see you invading me (white fog appears, I can't leave the area, I can't use the bonfire), but you're still trying to connect (no message that you already invaded). I quit game. You failed to invade. Edit: I misread a bit. The top only applies to "Invading" -> "Invading Failed". Regarding your real question, yes. If there isn't anyone close to your level that qualifies as a target around the area you're trying to invade, it will show as invasion failed. Also keep in mind that Dark Souls uses this stupid P2P system, and most of the time, its the network. Again, they're supposedly going to fix/improve this by 1.04. To clarify, it goes from searching for world to invade -> invasion failed. Supposedly the item times out (why the fuck?), so; where would be a good place/level to invade? Is there some sort of gentlemans dueling club where people gather after having beat NG+? Higher level duels, for the (i assume) higher variation of builds is preferable.

Just invade the areas accordingly to your level. You can invade a lot at Anor Londo if you're around 50 or higher, etc. I don't know about a Gentlemen's Dueling Club for NA/EU, but there sure is one in Japan. Just take a look at the weapon list. http://darksoulswiki.wikispaces.com/Weapons In the Japanese PvP video posted on page 23, you can see his stats. Soul Level 97, he has 20 Strength and 22 Dexterity, 40 Vitality and 40 Endurance. Neither "damage" stats are considered high. What matters most is the weapon you use, based on its speed, damage, upgrades you want to pursue, and the set of moves the weapon utilizes. @9:55, owwwww Some more videos on the sidebar.

Bare minimum stats but enchanting with Sunlight Blade or Darkmoon blade added like 400+ damage to it making it hit for around 730. I'd be interested to see how the scaling changes in the patch. I'm at least somewhat satisfied to know that if my 99 Intelligence mage were to wield a +5 Enchanted Estoc, it will only be around 5 damage lower than a +5 Lightning Estoc ![]()

And even though you say it's only 5 lower than a lightning estoc, I believe it's easier to get lightning defence than magic. Plus you can do something like the homing missle + sword swing combo for more effectiveness. I do wonder if pumping strength up really does increase attack speed. I read it somewhere and I know that if the great swords could swing faster, they'd be awesome.

Yes I know magic defense is harder to get, I'm just being a bit cynical and mocking the current state of elemental weapons. I'm also pretty damn sure Strength does not increase attack speed. This is the first time I've heard of such rumors.

Was going to upgrade the Painting Guard armours until I realised they used twinkling shards, so for now I decided to use the Dingy set. Got everything to +5 at the moment, gonna go invading for some more souls. Priscilla's dagger has got some sweet moves 2h. I wonder when I should use it instead of the uchi. I guess I will try it vs lightning resist guys but I'd have to got used to the range, although it does have some nice thrust moves.

Hey OjKa, any idea what this armor set is called and where do you get it? I'm having a hard time googling this.

Never seen it myself, though, so not sure.

OjKa come shed some light since you love this painted world so much.

The route I do is, from the bonfire, run up, kill the 3 zombies and then take the stairs. They'll be 4 zombies up here, you can kill them or run further up. Then you'll see two fucked up zombies guys, you can kill or run to that long thin walkway. It looks like a big drop but you should survive easily if you haven't been hurt. Now you can relax. Have a look around and you can open those doors which were just ahead of the bonfire. You also have to go down one of the wells in the corners of that middle place. Be careful because of the annoying pinwheel dudes are there. Keep exploring the sewers, hit hidden walls and then do the action thing so you can progress to the boss. There's a key in one of the hidden rooms in the sewers which goes to the Annex door which is in the middle bit and in a building to the right. That way has some good loot like Dark Cleric set, Occult ember, a magic that I forget but be careful, some real hurtful mobs up here. You can pretty much scout this whole middle area and find the zombie dragon. If you're melee then you can kill him by...well you can figure it out. There's also the Painted Guard set in this place and if you want to cut some time, when you kill the zombie dragon, his behind will block the bridge. If you do a jumping attack on it then his behind will stand up some you can jump down and continue to Priscilla ahhh just spent 52k on Large shards, turns out after that upgrade I need chunks :[[[[[[[

You can just avoid him for a long time until you feel strong enough to beat him
