TR Infiltrator so I guess none of them apply, although I did check the standard Medic/Heavy guns for the ammo and the ammo tab was still greyed out.

Guess I'll have to keep sneaking up and stabbing people with the regular ammo, was hoping I could get HV ammo to deal with Nanoweave 5 preventing headshot kills at range.

Harassers are driving me freaking crazy I swear half my deaths at least are either them killing me or something else killing me cause I'm mainly paying attention to surviving against harassers and rushing to cover from them/into buildings.

The only time I ever feel like I have the upper hand on them is in a gunned vanguard.

Harassers would be easy to deal with but for some reason people refuse to shoot them and so they can just run around and farm everything. I've seen Harassers drive through a whole platoon and several HAs had their rocket launchers ready but not one of them shot it at the harasser while it was moving in a straight line towards them and noone of the other players used their rifles to shoot it. It's ridiculous.

Heck, i once saw a Harasser beat a full health Lightning eventhough 1v1 even a HE Lightning beats any Harasser even when it is shooting into the rear of the Lightning.

Don't even get me started on harassers. Tank-like bulk, repair on the move, fastest land speed in the game, and an amazing weapon selection. They hard counter flashes and steal their role at the same time, it makes me sad. Flash needs a speed buff to be able to escape or.. something. I take pleasure in every helpless harasser team I destroy with rotary from the sky.

how the hell do you run from these $100 BR92 AA missile rotary fellows? I never ever ever ever see them coming, and it's frustrating as hell going through all of my resources after getting blown up by this shit the moment I pull a skeeter.

I've seen people stick harassers inside of buildings. I don't know if that's been fixed or something, but a halberd harasser is more-or-less a HEAT lightning that takes tiny bits of damage from random gunfire...and they have turbo, too o.o

So your choices are either outrun them (or more likely run into friendly air) or to engage them and abuse your mobility advantage. You basically have the duration of your first flare to figure out where they are coming from and to engage them. If your problem is that you are getting shot down by high level players using rotary then all I can say is practice. Personally if someone using A2A missiles engages me I am usually pretty sure I can out dogfight them.

Are you playing on Mattherson? Because it has a rather ridiculous air game that I wouldn't enter without a wingman.

Harassers require 2 people to man, and really don't have an edge against other 2-man options. A Lightning and a Striker heavy beats a Harasser easily. It also struggles against an MBT with gunner. MAX+Heavy works, too.

The Harasser does beat a single lightning, or an MBT without gunner, or a lone MAX... and so it should.

Harasser escapes every bad situation you mention unless they are grossly surrounded. Then can come back at a more favorable angle, etc.. The speed and repair lets it turn pretty much any situation where it's not facing a whole perfectly positioned squad in its favor. One MAX and a heavy against a harasser is laughable against it unless it horribly drives into a perfect ambush. Lock on launchers are terrible for fighting them cause they fight really fast paced and lock on is sloooow, harassers break lock-ons better than any vehicle. Multiple harassers cover each other's weak points.

That's maybe my main problem with them. A loose group of harassers, which can be built at any base in the game and travel easily, can control entire battles.

Ya, I'm playing on Mattherson, but I never catch Rah and friends when they're on.

Just a few moments ago, I ran into Thundahawk just floating around in the air. I didn't feel like dive bombing him (I would look awful if I lost after that), so I wiggled around until he noticed me, then tried to 1v1. I couldn't consistently keep my jets down when trying to strafe w/ afterburners, and really didn't manage to do any significant damage that his 20000 cert reaver couldn't autoheal. It seems like, against good players, they always end up almost directly above me, and I can't seem to aim worth a damn, even when I have an opening.

I just shoot harassers with a lancer. That usually makes them go away pretty quick.

I just made a TR and Vanu Character on Mattherson to collect the free certs so I can eventually build up my Scythe and Mossie. Currently I am finding the Mossie a lot of fun to fly.

I'm getting the flying backward stuff a little bit now, I just lose my head in combat. Also I can't aim the rotary for shit, that's my biggest problem right now, I'm getting openings to kill stuff but I hit like 10% of the shots.

What's the best frame for getting into doing the right maneuvering most easily/quickest to learn? Hover? For a reaver if it makes a difference.

Hover helps with braking and going into the maneuver, the vertical thrust also means that you move further with the maneuver. So hover is pretty good and it is what I use for my reaver.

Finally unlocked my most anticipated setup: the 2x Falcon MAX, duh duh duh. It's off to a mediocre start on the killboard, though hurt by being rezzed without repair and dying again like 6 times in a row. And getting a ton of assists and vehicle assists--since a body shot does 875, critical assists are common. A couple things I learned; it can shoot out of the spawn room (not vehicle shield though) and it gets head shots. I headshotted a 100 BR NUC guy from like 100 meters, lol, that's what's up.

Also I can't believe I just noticed the auto-sniper has a forward grip available and it improves it so greatly, now my combat sniping which I was already doing suddenly became way more deadly. Once I finish my next save up which is for the second infiltrator bouncing betty spot, it'll be in a good place to wreck with.

I keep running into [QRY] people, and it feels like, while they still mean 100% death, I've been getting them lower and lower in fights as the days go by.

This IronfistCL/ML/someletterplusLoratleastIthinkitwasL guy dropped to about 20%, and I took rudelord down to 50% after he pops out of bumfuck-nowhere in the middle of the night.
