edit: Infrared & Thermal Optics have had their effective viewing ranges tuned for the following weapons: Scythe: All Weapons Reaver: All Weapons Mosquito: All Weapons Liberator: Secondary Weapons (Shredder, Dalton, Zepher) Anyone know are they are being tuned? Will some be longer or shorter etc? | ||

Population percentages of all PS2 servers AKA where people play EU 40% US East 35% US West 20% AU 5% Have TotalBiscuit, a known guy who is into the game and passionate about it, play on Waterson (US East), and make him faction leader for TR. Get 2 weird youtube morons who don't care about the game, don't play it and do close to nothing about this faction showdown and make them leader of NC and VS and let them play on some -different- server on US West. So they DON'T ACTUALLY PLAY AGAINST EACH OTHER. Eventually let the showdown fight happen on the underpopulated (even more underpopulated than others) US West server where the guy who actually likes to play the game can't participate. At frikkin 4am in the morning for EU so only the fewest people imaginable will participate. | ||

You missed the bit where this has skewed the waterson population to a laughable degree. Over 2/3 of my kills are against TR... Altho I do think you're overblowing this somewhat. TBH I really like the game, despite SOE being an awful company, some half arsed PR event is irrelevant from my pov. | ||

However, unless you play Sniper or sit in a vehicle all the time, don't expect a K/D over 1. Yeah, sometimes you'll go on kill streaks but quite often you'll die without getting a kill, often in "unfair" situations. Spawncamps, liberator bombings, rocket pods, HE tanks, grenade spam, friendly fire, more friendly fire, etc. You often won't be able to avoid getting killed no matter how skilled you are. You are supposed to die a lot, it's the nature of the game. Your life is meaningless, you can be rebuilt, only victory matters. Tobuscus and SeaNanners both have far more subscribers than TB and both are focussed on shooters, so it's clear why they used both of them.
