No aircraft can destroy a Sunderer in one shot. It's more likely that either an Engineer with Anti-Tank Mines or a Light Assault with C4 managed to sneak to the Sunderer and blow it up.
2 AT Mines destroy a Sunderer instantly. 2 C4 get a full-health Sunderer to ~1% health, causing it to burn down in a few seconds unless an Engineer instantly repairs it.
I was right next to it and there were no enemy soldiers in sight. The only thing which attacked was a chopper. Just finished repairing some minor damage and not even a second later it got destroyed. So it went from 100% to zero in an instant.
Number of things could have happened, apart from these which were posted you cannot overlook your team. I've seen at least 2 times when my/our sunderer was griefed by crew right next to it because it was parked in a sweat spot (bio lab elevators). What happened to me once was, I've bumped other sundie while sliding down the slope (I couldn't get over it) and I've just touched it while breaking, just a comic book *bump* and other sundie blew up. What I am getting at is bugs
Since it was only one explosion, I guess so. But it was deployed in a normal spot, not somewhere "weird". Apart from me, there was only one other guy but he was busy taking the point.
/edit: As a chopper, how do you stay mid-air without moving at all? A single one of those can camp an entire spawn, so unless you have air support, it's GG.
Spacebar for upwards vertical thrust. If you're all the way down at ~20 kph then you're basically hovering. Circlestrafing/bombing runs against small bases with no AA turrets can net a good amount of kills, but simply hovering means you're really likely to eat an rpg to your ass.
If you really want to be completely immobile in a liberator, go into first person and align your vertical position with the 0 on the hud. You don't even need to use spacebar.

Have some experience with Battlefield 3 and other FPS but run-n-gun bores the hell out of me.
Join the TL Outfit and run with us. We'll help with whatever we can.
Which one is the most active? I've read some pages earlier that people from europe should join on Mattherson, is this true (I finished downloading some time ago and I want to join too!)
Yes make a TR, our guns are awesome. Friend add Rahsun, and I'll get you invited when I can. On break atm though.
Mattherson you say? Sounds good. I won't be playing too much but would enjoy playing with TL folks when I can.
As for classes, both Infiltrator and Light Assault seem awesome. I really enjoy that flanking/behind enemy lines style of attacking. Medic is probably my third choice when I am running in a big pack or something.
Has anyone found a way to dodge / move faster in this game (ie something other than strafe-jumping, since jumping slows you down)? I now know that you can do what this guy did -
- stick enough attachments to a CQC super special carbine to practically eliminate cone-of-fire issues at relevant ranges,
but I have a hard time winning 1 on 1 fights unless I get lucky with my shot-spread RNG or I take them by surprise via jump jet shenanigans. I try sprinting left-right randomly if I'm out in the open and I run out of ammo / am not in range of the snipers I'm trying to nab, and that works fine, but when I have to shoot I'm just a sitting duck. I haven't certed drifter jets yet, can you jump then change direction fast enough in them to dodge shots?
edit- I don't yet have one of those monsters, still running with a trac-5 with 1x reflex sight
Is there any way to adjust the sensitivities of individual weapons?
Also, I now know that infiltrators are awful inside of buildings, since the cloak is "observer on top of MVP's army" obvious to bad guys unless you're 50m away and off to the side peeking out from a tree. NC infiltrators have a bolt action as a starter weapon O_o you can't 1-headshot people with the TR rifle, so I stick to my knife/pistol. Honestly, I think the light assault is a better class for sneaking around, unless you're trying to avoid vehicles. Thankfully, those don't instantly spot cloakers .
I love playing engineer with a max, but I don't ever get squads where I get to do that.

That video is an absolute prime example of what a good Light Assault player can do in the right circumstances. Was just playing with a couple guys earlier defending a 3-way battle at an Amp Station and learning the best ways to manoeuvre around the place.
EDIT: And of the enemy not having scout Radar (RIGHT RAH?!?!?)
I use the Jaguar with improved laser sight for pure hip fire ownage, with silencer. You are always getting first shot in duels and jetpack is great for just moving erratically to throw off their aim.

All aircraft autohover when your speed is low enough. So just hold s and tap spacebar.

Thank you, works just fine. Depends on your position, if you are right above the spawn building, you can kill them before they can even target you.
And darn planetside2.exe, just got into a crucial position with my Sunderer and a few seconds later, the game crashes -_-
We play Terran Republic on Mattherson, but that's cool that there's no lag for you. I started streaming today, and my fps was fine in game. I might be able to raise the stream quality some, I'll try higher resolutions and framerates later on. Here's the link if anyone wants to see mosquito and spec ops gameplay, or our TL outfit in action. http://www.twitch.tv/rahsun86
