Fuck Call of Duty! Love Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 3!!!
COD is for console nubbins...
lol I hope it's as far away from Bad Company 2 as possible. You sir haven't even played Battlefield 2 yet and you'll notice how different it is. BC2 is like CoD but with vehicles and a mere fraction of the teamwork with a flavor of OP snipers.
That is very wrong. BC 2 is NOTHING like any CoD game. BC2 has the weighted feel, clunky movements, and the guns actually have recoil. It is not the typical run and gun that CoD is known for. You CAN run and gun in BC2, but it isn't as easy as CoD. I personally find the teamwork aspect there in BC2 and it's as good as BF2's.

It will be aimed exclusively for tl'ers to kick some arse in. We had a good showing for other fps games and im sure this will be fun as well. Hope to see you guys in there, don't own me too hard >.< lol.
wow, that sounds actually really good! i will definitely check it out when bf3 is up btw...you also host servers for the beta?
Quite a few of us picked up Medal of Honor to do just that - - have access to beta, and stress test the VPS servers. So yes, we'll have them, I dont think anyone can guess the performance of said servers yet however.

BC2 does not have the exact CoD feel but it carries elements of it depending on where you go. When I go on the scrub servers, All I see is run n' gun antics and annoying snipers that seem to one-hit kill almost everything. Worst of all, they won't utilize the aspect of teamwork where they'd leave your ass while they drive a vehicle on their own, thinking they can get some Rambogasms off running and gunning when often times it's lolfail.
Besides all of the previous statements made in the last post. I also despite the killcam, having an idea where yuor killer is at is the most unskillful aspect to bring into a game and it sickens me how they've implemented this on BC2.
I want to keep my expectations low for BF3 due to many casual gamers these days having an IQ of a village idiot (and it seems DICE wants to cater to the likes of these fools) but it's just impossible due to the phenomenon BF2 had to offer, having a brink of hope that they can bring all BF2 elements to their sequel with new maps and epic graphics.
God I hope DICE stays true to the community that stood up to them 6 years ago...
I always loved the battlefield series. I took a long break from it though. I played 1942 a lot but then every other game just couldn't hold a candle to it IMO. I really enjoyed Bad Company 2 though so I am really looking forward to BF3. Hopefully it will be better than BC2 and/or ,if possible, be better than BF:1942 was for me back in the day. <3 1942 forever

lol I don't think you've played BF2 or BF1942, if you were pubbing then all you would find were complete jerks that do as you described in terms of teamwork
as for weapons being OP in BC2, deal with it it was primarily an infantry game and not so much vehicles
just another video game developer appealing to casauls doomsayer and not an actual fan of the series imo
If there is a map in which I need to swim 10 min in order to get into action cos my teammates took all the landing craft, or if you can dock an aircraft carrier to the shores, i will pred order 5 copies!!! I really enjoyed my times swimming in BF1942 and 1943, not trolling, swimming and dying trying to fly a plane are my greatest memory of the BF series.

Wow same here man, those aircraft carrier and island maps are some of my favourite Battlefield maps and are my immediate thought when I think of Vietnam and 1942.
Full 12+minute trailer for Battlefield 3 is out! Mostly a compilation of the 3 (4) trailers that we've already watched, with some of the cut out "in-between" parts. Regardless, it's just HYPEHYPEHYPE especially the BUILDING COLLAPSING. Watch here!
dunno if you have played BO but that jet-fighting and base-jumping is copied from BO trailer....
Yeah... because Black Ops obviously invented a lot of scenarios in FPS games.
The video is awesome and it was cool to see additional scenes even if they were short. The environment and explosions sounds in the game is superb just like BC2's. The weapons sound great, but the LMG shown in the video sounds a little weak, but the game is still in development, so no big deal.
Meh, where's the multiplayer footage? SP's alright but it has that CoDish-hype feel to it. I feel its usefulness should come in handy for catering a wider audience such as the casuals and the newbies to the FPS scene. I'm hoping the single-player gimmicks such as getting that one man shot down to safety and the melee combat will be there to be extracted for the Project Reality modders but even then DICE hasn't confirmed if Frostbite 2.0 will have mod support. They have 6-7 months before release date and even then it's possible to push it even further but given all this time they have I'm giving high expectations for the multiplayer content and hope it has that BF2 feel to it as well as not wasting any precious time polishing the campaign.
Honestly, that campaign gameplay looks like crap-- it just seems like one long cinematic with some shooting gallery sections peppered in there, even worse than how CoD does it. :/ I'll really be looking forward to info on the MP though, hopefully it's good.
Yes, lets all judge the game's campaign solely on the first couple of releases. Obviously they are going to show MP footage at E3 and over time on their YouTube page like they did with BC2.
I'm excited, but I'm not that excited. I'm more excited about Brink and Red Orchestra 2 and Skyrim, but this game is definitely going to stay on my radar.
