I mean the last COD game i liked was COD 2. Red Faction and its sequels had better destructible environments then anything else I have ever seen. I hope its as good as you guys want it to be. Hell I hope its good enough to win me over, which will have to be fucking amazing, but it just looks like another generic shooter to me. Yeah the graphics are pretty, but not as good as unreal 4 is shaping up to be(ships 2012, so its prob a half year later then bf3 admittedly). The lighting does look pretty fucking good, but the texturing and modeling still looks substandard to me. | ||

Also is there a commander mode in BFBC2? The lack of commander mode is kind of disappointing now that I think about it because in BF2 there were so many epic "teamwork" moments thanks to the commander working (talking directly to squad leaders) with the team. As long as they allow better communication between the entire team (in BF2, voice chat was limited to squads or the commanders to squad leaders) then the lack of a commander mode may not be so bad. Finally I do know being a commander was kind of dull most of the time (especially if the team was not listening) but the times when the commander and the team worked together really made up for it (plus there were plenty of r"achievements" for being a commander like the medals and badges). | ||

This will be the first major battlefield game to have a single player and honestly won't be that amazing, Battlefield has and will probably always be a more multiplayer focused game for people who get the game. if you have never played a battlefield game, play battlefield 2, if you don't like it then you probably won't like battlefield 3 as the multiplayer is going to be the same for the most part from what I have read except 3 less classes, and no commander mode. | ||

*Looks at calendar* Games are getting more pre-release hype than movies these days. -_- But it looks so pretty. And it might/should have multiplayer with more depth than a petri dish. | ||

A game is overhyped the moment PC gamers start to call it "the last bastion of PC gaming," which the hardcore bunch is doing this very moment, after being disappointed with Crysis 2. I got to give it to the marketing team of both DICE and EA, it is the second game whose success is totally dependant on the disappointment for a previous overhyped AAA title (BC2 was an answer to MW2 and BF3 an answer to Crysis 2). Brilliant marketing if you ask me! | ||

PC has better graphics, 32 vs 32. Those 2 things right there are huge. I mean on PS3 multiplayer is 12 vs 12 or something lame? I mean thats going to make bf3 for consoles not feel like a battlefield game imo. Maps will be smaller and everything. But too each his own, if he wants to miss out on what makes battlefield, well battlefield then get the ps3 version not going to affect me. | ||
