EPTthat will be awesome. i have played BF2 a ton with frineds - never competetively - and it was an awesome time.
i really hope they overthink their choice with commander modes one more time and implement it in the game cause it was so mcuh fun.

Bad Company 1&2 are both so badly designed and hitpoints are so off. Also I do hope they have made better gaming engine and sort of lighter version so you don't have to pay 3k€ to play the game. | ||

Not so big on the melee - and dragging comrades - as the latter looks hardcoded purely for single player and we already know about the former, which would be a disappointment, because while I'm sure there are people out there who will buy BF3 for the single player experience, I think it's safe to say most of us are doing so for the multiplayer. Still waiting to be blown away in the gameplay department. | ||

I think in that interview he's talking about for the single-player side, and I agree. Single player sandbox games suck almost universally. There needs to be a pseudo-linear primary story to guide players along, with branching and possible sequence breaking (for the truly hardcore). I don't consider games like Super Metroid or Ocarina of Time to be 'sandbox games', I think of them as having a clear primary progression of what to do, with optional branching paths all over the place. That is not a sandbox. A sandbox lacks structure (it has no walls). I don't think they could have a Battlefield game with the full vehicular suite and not have 'sandbox-style' world layouts. It's pretty much impossible, so don't get so worried about it. Besides if you'll remember, BF2 didn't even have a single-player game anyways, so I don't see why people are getting their panties in a wad. | ||
