Lategame, you just enchant all your shit so destro spells are free, I wouldn't bother getting expert or master level cost reduction perks. If you find yourself with no skill in illusion (such a crap tree) you can just spam muffle to level.

Despite pumping nothing but mana until I had 500 on my mage, you can't actually build a large enough pool for all fights and L3 spells WITH the perk would still blow through my mana pool (and my epic 300% mana regen from racial, perks, gear doesn't mean anything in combat). The only way to increase spell damage is through perks which include the three in destro and the other comedy three in illusion that increase destro damage for some reason (I forget all the names but go up the illusion path to "rage" and you got them all). Mage scales fine if you get the illusion perks, they're actually better than the damage perks in destro. That mana regen part is so wrong, you are keeping your hands "charged" with spells constantly if you don't see any regen with 300%. Stagger something, wait, stagger it with a quick cast after it cleared 1st stagger. Don't charge your hands for a new double bolt before the enemy is up and running again or you indeed see no mana regen. With that much regen you should be able to stagger non bear (they revive fast from stagger) forever without running oom if you are using firebolt/lightningbolt/ice spike Expert lvl spells will be heavier on the mana ofc, but you can still do the same. Just don't keep a spell charged up while you're just waiting and you'll see regen. Illusion is also a far more effective tree at killing stuff high lvl when it's more than 1 mob in the area, when you can frenzy op mobs to fight each other (including undead, dwemer bots and daedra if you get perk)

And to the guy who enjoyed Blackreach, I actually enjoyed the Dwarven Ruins in Markarth a lot more, though maybe because that was my first dwarven ruin. That one is also extremely huge because of how many levels there are in it, took me a full day to explore. Ah, I think I'm finally done with Skyrim ![]()

I'm lvl 40 now and I've maxed smithing (100) and 1-handed weapons (100). my light / heavy armor / enchanting / destruction are all around lvl 65 . My question is: it seems like my spells do NO damage to anything above first level mobs. I.E. I can kill a skeleton in 1 hit with any of my spells, but when I fight something like a Restless Draugr, it takes like 2 bars of my mana to kill it if I'm just using spells. How can I make them do more damage ?? O_O! Also, do enchantments improve if you level your enchanting ability? I've held off enchanting my items because I don't wanna enchant something at like 10% magicka regen how it is now (will it go up when I lvl my enchanting)? At lvl 75 destruction, you get new nuke spells that do 60 dmg (+50%) x2.2 if dualcasted (so potentially 198 dmg). They cost a ton though, especially when you dual cast them. You will probably want to enchant headgear, armor, rings and amulet to decrease destruction mana cost. Enchanting levels with use like every other skill. Make a habit of always using Soul Trap and do "the black star quest" asap. Ask an innkeeper and he will tell you about "Shrine of Azura" west of winterhold. Good luck.

I also need more mana, the illusion spells are incredibly expensive. I have 250 right now and all the perks up to expert and they still drain so much D: qq

Yes, you don't even have to be in combat to do it In fact, there is a misc quest in the college of winterhold where you gotta fine tune three magic sources with a special pair of gloves, and the quest reward gives you like 10000% magicka regen rate for an hour, so I just walked around like normal, dual casting muffle every step on the way. Took me from 65 to 100 in Illusion, and still had about 30 minutes left on the buff, despite the fact that I was actually questing/clearing a dungeon while I was doing this and only casting muffle when I was out of combat. So yeah... it's a bit silly ![]()

Also, casting dual wield Bound Sword will make you level up in Conjuration every time you enter combat, pretty much all the way up to 100 -.- On December 14 2011 02:51 Torte de Lini wrote: I'm Argonian, I can't do waterbreathing for Alteration I got Azura Star, but I dont think its black Detect Life @ Riften Marketplace for Alteration instead of Water Breathing, and go Bound Weapons instead of Soul Trap then.
