I've played 50+ hours on PC, no real bugs to speak of for me. The interface is annoying of course, but I've not had a single crash.

only bugs in PC ive seen are when you ride a horse it looks like you are going through walls and stuff. Oh and once I saw a wall look invisible but thats once in 40+ hours.

If you know how to break the game mechanics/quests, you can do it no matter whose copy of the PC version you have.
But you can fix a lot of the stuff with the command console, so it's pretty okay. Just hope they release the creation kit soon so the modders get on working with some actual content. The game atm is like the map, locations and few very hollow quest lines.

Since patch 1.2 i have the old 'vertical mouse sensitivity' problem again. I don't know how to fix it because the settings I added in the skyrim.ini file to fix it a long time ago haven't changed.
[Controls] fMouseHeadingYScale=0.0200 fMouseHeadingXScale=0.0200
Anyone have any ideas?

Playing Skyrim on PS3 is pissing me off, It's impossible to play on Masters right now when 2 mages completely obliterate you
|
I've played about sixty hours on the PC and I've encountered only a couple significant bugs. A couple times the game has crashed on me, and other than that there's only been visual glitches every once in awhile. Sometimes if I ride a horse and I am going over a steep hill my horse will disappear for a second and it looks like I'm floating, or sometimes NPC's will get hung up on eachother for a few seconds - overall I've been pleased with the lack of bugs.

got the id, got the stage, and it is 70, but aparently it is the last one, so it wont recognice stage 80... any idea what can be done? I want to keep playing the mages quest line.
Yes. Google the quest. The Skyrim wiki has like all quest indexes listed.

My character is level 17 or so, but all I can find is iron..am I not meant to find the orc ore (forgot the name of it) until later on or something? You need to find the mine or wait until you are higher level and shops will sell the materials to you.
What do you mean by THE mine? Is there one specific place in Skyrim to go and mine certain materials? I've kinda relied on finding veins while in caves etc so far.

I think there is like 1 major mine for every type of ore, that's my experience at least. I've mined the ebony ore mine with about 40 ore and the corundum ore mine with 45. Google if you wanna know where to find them. If you dont want to just go around the whole world and check out all mines I guess.

I've had frequent crashes.

Finally went mad with power and got me some legendary dragonscale armour, something like 105% dest cost reduction, 80% magica damage restruction, 80% extra one handed damage, 74 extra carry weight, and 135% mana regen (implying I need it)
Still get two shotted by forsworn power attacks or ice spikes. But since I finished the main quest and all guildsstuffs, I am now just running into cities and using lightning storm, calling in dragons, killing everything possible. The guards don't care since I am thane of everything.

Delete them and it should be fine again. At least this was the case for me.

Hey guys is grand healing (expert restoration AoE heal) supposed to affect enemies? I thought it was a great spell and then i was fighting enemies in melee range and it kept healing them -_-...this didn't happen until I fought Forsworn, though. Various animals, Undead, Dragons, and Hagravens don't seem to be healed by it.

I have three questions:
1. What types of ways are there to interact with NPCs that have increased from Oblivion? One of the problems I had with Oblivion was while the NPCs did talk to each other and did make it immersive at times, the problem was that you couldn't really interact with them that much.
For example even if you had 200 infamy and was a level 50 character with maxed out stats, people wouldn't be afraid of you or anything and just treated you normally. (Infamy decreases disposition towards those with high responsibility. That simply meant they were more likely to attack you rather than be scared of you or anything).
Another example is there is no way to mug people or do so. You can pick pocket but you can't threaten people or so.
2. What is the file format for character models? Are the same as Oblivion or different? Is it possible to import meshes/models or so from Oblivion to Skyrim easily? I really like the female Mythic Dawn armor from Oblivion >.>.
3. Are there more than 8 "hotkeys" in Skyrim (for PC users)? I felt limited with 8 hotkeys. I'd like 16 or more. It was a hassle later in the game to switch spells or change weapons (I didn't need to but I wanted to for fun and variety).
Thanks in advance for replies .

1. Interraction is limited to just talking to them or attacking. If you fight guards and then sheathe weapons, they might stop beating you and ask you to come nicely. Other than that, you get the occasional remark from people you pass by commenting on what you've done / your skills. No one is in awe of your dragonscale armor that hasn't been seen in a full Age, but if your bounty for a Hold is high enough, guards will attack you on sight.
Overall, the interraction is limited at best.
2. no clue, sorry
3. Nope, 8 is all you got + the quick menu buttons. UI and controls scream of cheap console port so bad it's not even funny.

Not yet, but mods will probably make it happen somehow.

Same here. Been playing on the PC version and I've had countless crashes. Probably once every 2-3 hours on average.

Oddly enough playing on high settings instead of ultra then later switching to ultra ended my crashes. Well that- after I set my sound to 44000 or whatever so the ruddy thing would load.
I'm scared to load skyrim after the patch ._. so many texture/UI mods.. I don't want to reinstall if it broke something.

Yeah now it doesnt click random dialogue choices and wont auto leave if you click elsewhere! 2) New Bug: Magic resistance doesn't exist. I just confirmed this on my breton conjurer: fire does exact same damage as frost against flame thralls -_-. Also my flame thrall one shotted me o.O Also magic resistance affects everybody including you, so if you're one of those guys who love your 70+ magic resistance, you are FUCKED According to the internet, Xbox users will encounter the same bug as us 3) New Bug: Your skyrim won't start up. This can be fixed with a vertify cache thing on steam however there is a huge downside Your skyrimpref.ini will be reset, and if you're using alot of modded stuff enjoy rewriting that damn thing cause I sure had a fucking blast!
Until bethseda fixes the resistance bug I see no reason to play until this is fixed Resistance was the only thing that made my mage so durable No. no. no no no no noooooo .. let me just load..
NOOOOOOOOO
