- you can only have two spells plus one power on hotkeys at a time and a selection of only 8 spells / items to switch for your two hands - you HAVE TO move that crosshair over an item to loot it AND get really close ... too much movement of screen and character - you CAN NOT target a creature and keep that creature targeted
- try playing as a healer who mainly heals his companion ... its impossible to do and most of the time your companions health bar isnt showing
- try playing a destruction mage (all of the playthroughs I have seen so far were with melee / bow chars) ... your capability to hit enemies is severely hindered by the rapid movements of the NPCs and your inability to turn adequately. I would expect to be able to cast a spell to the side and not 100% front only ... and having not turn button on the keyboard doesnt help.
- try sneaking up a slope at walk-speed ... doesnt work - try telling your companion to wear item XY specifically for an encounter ... its not possible
The game (story, graphics, skill trees, mechanics) is awesome, but the UI / controls sucks big time and the whole focus on using the crosshair for everything tells me it was designed with "console" in mind. You have to move and turn too much compared to looting and targeting by mouseclick. I am not asking to be able to run forward and shoot spells over my shoulder, just some leeway in being able to lock onto a target and being able to cast a spell if that target is within a certain central arc (90° frontal arc should be reasonable). It should not be so much of an effort for the programming team to give us a reasonable alternative to the console UI and controlling ... just give the players the choice and learn which way is better instead of putting them in a straightjacket.

I saw it awhile ago where dev mentioned that each town has own set of economy where you can sabotage and stimulate, but so far I haven't seen any guide on how is it actually done. Anyone has any ideas?

You can stimulate an economy by using the speech perk to donate 500g to a vendor, which increases the total amount of available gold they have. This is pretty useful when your ability to generate items is to such a point that you can easily clean out their cash reserves each time you visit them (aka selling alchemy potions you craft).
As for sabotage, I'm not sure.. but I'm certain killing a vendor is the same as sabotage. That'll sure screw up a local economy.

no. maybe on cosoles but hitting enemies on pc is ridiculously easy, i feel every projectile is like 1 meter wide and its impossible to miss with them. enemies are also slow as moleasses. and yeah i did play as destruction mage.

Meh made my first character a stealth/archer. Trying to decide if I want to try making a mage or shield/sword character next.

appreciate the help once again >< 1. I believe the enchantment starts with a fixed base. You need enchanting perks (or potions lol) to start making more powerful enchantments. 2. No. Gems are the only way, but they aren't that bad. My method: First step is to get a lot of money. Go do Thieves Guild or Dark Brotherhood if you need money...or just accept a bunch of Misc quests and while you're going to a destination (random camp or something), stop at every land mark that appears on your compass and clear it. You get a lot of loot, and it is pretty fun because you unexpectedly find cool shit and interesting journals. It is a interesting way to explore and you get tons of loot. Or abuse alchemy. Once you have money, just make it a conscious effort to buy out all of the Soul Gems (if you don't have beaucoup money, don't buy too many Grand Gems) from Alchemists, General Good Stores, and Court Wizards in every town you go to. You'll eventually stock up and in some cases have too many. After that, just make conscious efforts to Soul Trap (97 magicka spell) or use a Soul Trapping weapon for (the one you have now, but I prefer two weapons with damage enchants) weaker enemies/wilderness you come across. After that, it is pretty easy. Check out the Shrine of Azura for an refillable soul gem btw. You're probably getting the "No soul gems large enough" message because you need black soul gems for hummanoid enemies. Edit: Oh, Dwemer Ruins give a good bit of Soul Gems as well. Lots of Soul Trap targets and lots of Soul Gem drops from machines, but depending on your difficulty/level/playstyle, they might be hard or annoying to clear. ahh. thanks for clearing that up! one last question. when i recharge my weapon, it consumes the whole gem yer? doesn't go back to being empty, it's just gone and i have to get another filled gem or fill the soul myself.
If you use a regular soul gem, the gem is used up. You're gonna have to find another filled gem to recharge other stuff. If you use the Azura's Star or Black Star though, it won't. You just need to refill the star once you use the soul.

Could somebody tell me if the type of gem (grand greater petty etc) affect the enchantment in any way

I agree with all here but aiming with destruction mage (well any mage has to aim with spells that do something to others). I play on PC and don't have much problems aiming. Yes, this RPG is twitch based but that is same as previous TES games.
In addition to upper suggestion I want a stats screen where I can see all the relevant stats of my character in one place and not all over. I want a paper doll model that is used to equip items and you can use it to compare other items with worn ones in all stats (not just armor value).
The skills screen while it is cool first 1 hour of gametime is a chore later. Browsing around for interesting perks to unlock or level towards is a chore and not fun at all (not to mention how easy it is to go to the wrong perk or just to another perk tree). Not to mention that skill wheel is way too slow to turn.
In addition to not knowing the HP of companion I also want to see his/her position on minimap as well as summon position (or at least on that bar on top that shows in which direction are enemies or quests/towns/dungeons). I cannot count how many times my companion got stuck somewhere and I had to go look for him in the middle of nowhere (fast travel is not an option as a fix as I was going toward a new area, I don't want to fast travel and start over just because Betsheda was lazy to make a real UI).
Many more things can be done to fix the mess of UI. If this game gets GOTY, its UI should get WUOTY (Worst UI of the year)

I honestly love the fact how limited you are at fighting and how free you are at everything else, the game does not live through the fights, (you can craft the best items in the game/there are almost always ways to finish a quest without fighting)
I right now play a Mage and get 1shotted by every power attack I love it, you have to be super careful and plan ahead in fights, regarding your movement
But I guess most people would disagree. I think the beauty in the game is that you don't play it but sink into it. In no other game I could go more than 5 Minutes without fighting or I would get bored to death. In Skyrim I actually avoid fights if I find them unjustified. Love it. I never needed more than 3-5 hotkeys in a fight and you can adjust the favourites beforehand.

um. its an fps, there is no turn limit, its called moving your mouse faster or increasing your sensitivity, so technically you could do hundreds of 360's a second. you should be able to aim fine, the "rapid movement of npcs?" they move in straight lines towards their enemies, you can just aim at them, also projectile hitboxes are huge, fire has an enormous cone, also notice how ice spike regularly float off of character model, that's cause the area considered a "hit" is way larger than the actual ice spike model. having your crosshair over the item to loot it? how else are you gonna do it, its an fps. This has nothing to do with consoles, this isn't an mmo rpg, this isn't a game where you click your enemy, then he continually attacks him while you watching in third person and activate a spell every couple of seconds. also 90 degree frontal arc? the default fov is lower than 90, so the arc would be the size of the entire view area
Maybe your looking for a different game here, because elder scrolls have always been like this(even the ones not designed for consoles)

Just a little precision : you can't be running around casting soul trap on random enemies, because if you don't have a gem of the proper size for the enemy you just kill, its soul is going to in a gem one size larger, essentially "wasting" that gem. If you're not careful, you're going to end up with a lot of petty and lesser souls stored in common and greater gems. You need to know exactly which enemies gives you which souls and how many empty souls of each size you have in your inventory, and use a third weapon when you find an enemy that you can safely soul trap.

I swear to God, this fucking game hates me. After overwriting 2 of my chars, and fucking up my mage questline with a glitch.. Now it won't play any fucking sound. As soon as I start up Skyrim from the Ps3 menu, the sound stops, and when I exit Skyrim into the menu, the sound plays again. It is not my speakers, and I've checked other games, so it's not my Ps3 either. It still worked yesterday, the day I patched it, so I don't think the patch messed something up either.
Any ideas as of what this is, and if there are ways to solve this?

Any ideas as of what this is, and if there are ways to solve this? Normally PS3 is the device you get to avoid such problems :D
Get a PC version of the game :D

My PC can barely play 1v1 SC2 on lowest :s I paid like 60€ to get this game, the day it came out, and I still haven't gotten to finish the fucking main questline. My highest char was lvl 16, and that was the mage on the save file with a messed up questline.
Please, if there are any ways at all to fix this T_T
