Hey TL once again, I'm back for more help. I got accepted into the Companions and Forlak gave me a mission to destroy some undead somewhere. I put this mission on the back burner because I wanted to get my smithing up to 100 to use up them dragonbones. Anyway, long story short - I don't remember where I'm supposed to go to defeat these undead. This quest somehow doesn't pop-up in my quest long. Neither as standalone or miscellaneous or completed. Halp =(
another Q: I've prolly already got the best armor (improved dragonscale heavy set), but what smithing branch offers me the best 2-handed sword? Currently I'm using a dwarven one which I found in a dungeon.

what you're missing is that with alchemy, smithing, and enchanting all at 100, you can make a daedric greatsword that does 2k+ damage per swing. and by doing this build its not like you ignore your combat tree, you only get the bare minimum of what you need in that tree. the main downside of the build is you have to sacrifice magic use, but magic in skyrim is quite weak compared to previous elder scrolls, so no one seems to care

I am sword and shield and light armor and spent levelups 50/50 health and stamina. By now I got so much stamina that in 1v1 I just bash, two attacks, bash, two attacks and can take many down without them even swinging their sword once Bash damage alone is not enough to take down foes though.

I can edit and save controls without a problem. But for some kind of reason when i relaunch a game the next day, Shout & Sprint is always back to default. Very frustrating you imagine! Any hint for this?
Same for fov when i relaunch a game the next day it's back to the default fov, which is awfull. I made the changes in the skyrim.ini file but it doesn't seem to help.
Any help much appreciated.

The main questline was seriously dissapointing...

I'm about level 35. One perk in Speech and Restoration, rest in Heavy Armor, One-Handed, Archery, Blocking and a bit Smithing. Only spells I use are heal and fast heal.
I think the game is quite challenging on Master, although it's getting a bit easier now. Killing Falmers & those robots at < 20 levels was retardedly hard.
Dunno if I'm going to transform my character into a mage later on or if I'm going to make a new one. Might just go through all the content with this one.
Also do you actually need Stamina? I have like 100 mana, sub 500 hp and sub 150 stamina.

Dardric weapons have the highest base damages, although it can be hard to acquire daedra hearts to make them (if you ever see one in a shop you better buy it). There's a mine full of Ebony ore that makes it relatively easy to get an ebony weapon (and by extension, the other materials for the daedric stuff).
@making a cheesy weapon/armor with 100smithing/enchanting/alchemy. If you want to grind materials for hours or cheat via the console to get all the stuff you need to do this go ahead, but I suspect a lot of people including myself would find this unfun. The game isn't so impossible on masters that you need to grind hours on end for things like this (except maybe health potions ^_^)

Just wondering if someone could explain enchanting to me? I disenchanted a +20 magicka item (i think it was a chest or something that I didn't need magicka on because I had better) and I got the enchant, then I tried to use it to enchant a ring, and it came out with +1 magicka... -_-
So, what defines the quality of the enchant? is it the level of your enchanting, or the soul gem you use, or something else entirely?
Thinking of just ignoring it to be honest, I don't really want to waste xp on it this early (level 9ish)

Level of enchanting greatly effects it i beleive, there are many perks that stack for more power on enchants, and i also heard that the soul quality you use boosts it

As far as I know, the strength of your enchantments is affected by your perks in Enchanting and the level of the soul gem you use.
You probably have more important things to spend your perks on at level 9, but trust me when I say high-level Enchanting is extremely powerful, especially at 100 when you can put 2 enchants on one item. With 100 Enchanting, people are reporting having their Destruction spells cost zero magicka, which sort of breaks the game haha but would be extremely fun.
You don't need to do the Enchanting/Alchemy/Smithing min/max thing that everybody seems to be doing, but going down at least one of those paths will get you some pretty sweet utility.

This would indeed break the game, if you could still make your own spells.

I'm doing a paladin right now. 1h/block/resto/heavy armor/smith/enchant are the ones i'm focusing on. Working well so far.

Stealth is just an overpowered mechanic in general. When you frontload your damage like that and it one shots the enemy it appears very easy. If you can't get a stealth attack on something though you become incredibly weak so it has it's tradeoffs. I'm not sure if there's something you can't stealth attack though considering the 100 stealth perk and invisibility ^_^ There are definitely some combinations of skills that make masters overly easy. Conjuration for instance makes the game just as easy as long as you can hide/kite while your minions kill everything.

i keep starting over because I keep finding new things in skyrim (finally decided to play bound bow mage/archer). Played about 25 hours in total including the time i played on my now-deleted toons.
I think the most exciting moment I had on my new toon yesterday was running from two giants and bringing them with me back to whiterun. I grabbed 3 keys off corpses because of all the crazyness including a time the redwood blacksmith's wife walked in through helgen and died to some bandits. i tried to tell the blacksmith and his daughter she died but they didn't seem to care at all =/

Playing as a mage, or just as a caster, seems a bit hard :/ I'm finding myself not having enough hotkeys for all the spells I require. Specially once you get into the Shouts. I don't like pausing around in mid-battle to go look for a spell I wanted to cast.
Does anyone knows how I can add few more hotkeys to my favorites ? I got all from 1 to 8 bound, but I feel like I'll need at least 6 more to be efficient.

I am missing this so much, just why did they take it away. They also took away many of the fun spells, like jump, chamaeleon, flying and so on, though most of that happened in oblivion. I quite fondly remember creating my own equivalent of fast travel in Morrowind with a ring with (+ lots of jumping skill, +strength and lotsa jump) on use for 2 seconds, and another one with slow Fall for 2 seconds to brake wherever i wanted to stop. I could jump over half the map. This kind of stuff is what makes magery cool.

Lol really? I only use a few spells. 1 shout, 1 destruction spell, 1 self heal spell, 1 summoning spell. That's all I need really. I already did all the mage college quests. Level 36.

in oblivion you could generate essentially infinite magicka with a short duration fortify magicka and fortify intelligence
for about 50 magicka, you get 300
tack this on to every spell and you can fling spells indefinitely
you had essentially only 3 options for oblivion on very hard:
1) alchemy poison damage 2) fortify magicka 3) weakness to magic stacking (which could easily be paired with #2)

I use one of each 3 destruction type spells for 1-3 (not sure why really), an AE spell at 4, and a summon at 5 (in case I find a cooler Dead Thrall target).
