Doing my next playthrough on master difficulty. It feels like this game is supposed to be played on master. I have to think about each decision I make in battle and there's actual value in draining stamina/magicka because I don't kill everything in 3 hits.

Hi everyone, I've been hanging around this forum for a little bit now and I thought it was time to contribute something (semi-)useful. So I present:
supraWman's guide to slightly less ridiculous armor (it was going to be the guide to ridiculous armor until I realized that fortify smithing potions don't stack)
Step 1: Find a bunch of fortify smithing items like this ring: + Show Spoiler +
Step 2: disenchant redundant items (such as a second ring) and use the effects to enchant other clothing: + Show Spoiler +
Your active effects should now look kinda like this (a bunch of fortify smithing bonuses: + Show Spoiler +
Step 3: Make/find good armor (e.g. deadric armor) + Show Spoiler +
Step 4: Put all your smithing clothes on and drink one fortify smithing potion (unfortunately those don't stack, so I just drank the best one I had): + Show Spoiler +
Step 5: Improve your armor (be quick about it, the potion only lasts for 30 seconds): + Show Spoiler +
Step 6: Profit!
Since I wore my smithing outfit during all of this (just basic enchanted clothes), this armor does not have the heavy armor perk bonuses (boni?) yet. Those will be added once I wear it in conjunction with my other heavy armor.
As proof of concept, here is the armor improved without fortify smithing bonuses: + Show Spoiler +
Here it is improved with potion only: + Show Spoiler +

It's so much better with some perks in enchanting and some enchanting potions for the blacksmith enchants.. My Dragonscale Armour Set provide ~500 armor rating, and my ebony bows do 100 damage (:

Master is the only way to play if you ask me.

Well its odd, i tried masters etc but the only difference seems to be when playing destruction i have to run around in circles for minutes dodging arrows while my magicka regens at like 0.1 per second as it does in combat, and shit hits harder
If it improved the AI a ton etc and made them do new stuff etc, id do it, but for my first playthrough and like 200 hours atleast i dont want to have to farm mana potions for 2 hours before every dungeon because i can complete it anyway on any difficulty, it would just take a really really long time due to shitty regen in combat.
Im definatly gonna make a new char and do that 3k armor thing i linked last post if its not hotfixed out to play masters as it is legit and kinda a challenge (daedric armor isnt exactly easy to reach) but for playing mage i think the difficulty changes are a joke

I have dumb questions:
I want to roll a straight mage.
What do you wear other than your robes and hood until you get cloth spell gloves? And boots? And if it's literally nothing till you get mage cloth (as in you wear no light or heavy armor ever)....do you need to worry about blacksmithing at all?
Also, does cloth count as light armor under your perks? Or no? -
and another random question.
Does a two hander receive block perks, as you CAN block with it? I believe it does, but I'm not sure (not that I'd be using one with my mage).

Started wondering about this when I saw LeaD getting Temp banned for being dumb on page 315 of a thread that has nothing to do with SC2 or competitive gaming... And this one thread almost has 500000 views... Kinda crazy if its true... go TL
The tes nexus community is pretty damn awesome, at least they were for Oblivion, but that's more of like for modding, content, and passion, not really for replies to questions, although those guys helped me set up my first mods, and I even got to make some suggestions on some mod betas. Cool fan content will get linked here , and there will be some modders here probably, but not of the extent that community will have.
. As far as moderation of the forum is concerned, TL will always temp ban people for saying stupid shit like that guy did, regardless of where it is or which forum sub section.. If I went off on someone for liking/disliking this game, I would get temp banned.. TL doesn't really differentiate from their forums to their SC2 forums, same rules.
In Skyrim news, I have decided on three characters. I am roleplaying a Dark Elf full on mage right now, no bows/swords/etc.. I'm doing all the good quests this time, and not talking any of the quests like thieves guild/dark brotherhood, I kill and do justice to those that defy good will. I've joined the storm cloaks in attempt to free them and make them change their racist views on my kind by showing them how awesome we are. (I'm on medium difficulty right now)
Next char is going to be a khajit thief, that wields daggers/bow, no magic, do the "darker" quests, make bad decisions, kill random people etc.
Someday in the future when I want to return to the game after a long break gonna roll a Orc Berserker with sword and shield on expert. No magic cause that stuff is for pussies.
As you can tell, I'm not a fan of those humans, screw em, I can roleplay a human in real life ;D.

Robes, hood etc is not light armor. Equipping any armor, light or heavy, will slow your char down until you have the perk pretty deep in the skill tree for that armor, so i dont do it personally, but im not anywhere near max level so im not sure.
I have an amulet, gloves, robes and boots equipped, you can get ring too i think outside of armor class
Blacksmithing is kinda useful for money, i use it, craft iron daggers, use them on the sharpening thing (forgot name) and then enchant them and resell, can probably make 5-10k an hour doing this at like lvl 10, just gotta get soul gems etc for enchanting and you spend most of your time hunting random animals for their souls to use on enchanting.
If you level any profession etc, or want vendors to restock items and/or gold, shops are open about 8am to 8pm, and hitting T will let you wait (fast forward time really fast) so you can access new stuff quickly

np is funny you can get so much stats, but spending 31 perks as a mandatory requirement for min/maxing in just crafting isnt that good i think

I've asked this before but due to no answer and no answer available via google im asking it again.
I've copied my saves from one pc to another, now on the new pc the original saves are as they should be. But once I save or overwrite a game it sometimes shows it in the Load section and sometimes it doesnt. And even if it does show it, the newest saves aren't listed at the top but everything is random. Its really annoying to have to go through 25 saves orso each time you want to load:/

Isn't every game meant to be played on the highest difficulty. It would be silly to play StarCraft on normal speed

You can see 25 saves? I thought i lost a char i was working on because i can only see 11 on my screen (out of hundreds ive made) and most of them are auto saves from entering shops etc
on your problem, try changing the save file names or something so you can order them - i think it is ordering them on the screen by date last modified or something, since you copied them all at the same time it will be identical for all

This is kind of an obvious answer and I don't know if it really addresses the problem, but have you tried to only import the newest savegame and then load it up and directly save again to a new save (After that delete the imported save from the new pc). This way you could play from local saves only, which would fix the randomness and listing problem.

edit: ya it seems only the more serious/permanent merchants are available for both investing and the 1000 gold bonus
If they are guaranteed to have 1000 gold, does that mean they carry it on them? i.e. can you pick pocket it?
