It didn't have an epic feel to it, but Sovengarde sure was pretty. Time to bask in all the sidequests now.

I get nerd chills just thinking about how awesome it would be to play as Richard running around with the sword of truth and following the books story. Or being Rand Al'Thor the Dragon Reborn...oh man something like that would be so amazing. I would love to see the devs do this themselves but I would settle for a third party mod but I can see how they could make a ton of money from selling DLCs that modify the game to follow popular fantasy book stories.
Btw 44 hours played currently and I really love the game and the story so far. I just can't stop thinking how much cooler it would be to play out some of my favorite book series stories as well. The Sword of Truth was an awful series, awful. Man I'm so excited that I get to shit on this guy's opinion and be a dick about what he likes, oh man I'm about to pop a boner
Someone had his feelings hurt. Bad day? Shitty life? Probably something around there, I'm guessing the latter since I don't think I've seen someone get this angry over an opinion of a book series (an awful book series).

This is why I decided to put the main quest off for a while. 50+ hours in and not even close to being done with the main story line.

Generally posting like this isn't a good idea on TL.
Seems you're projecting your own insecurities out anyway. Enjoy your stay ^_^

Just drink a cure disease potion quickly before the mutation is complete.

You can also pray at the altar of one of the nine gods. There is a temple of X in every major city.
If you go into your magic menu and look at active effects you have the vampire disease if you have Sanguinare Vampiris.

They seem to have a mind of their own, instead of a straight-forward aggro targeting system. I've had my flame atronach hit them before and they just flew on. It's crazy how much the atronach leads the shot to be able to hit them, Your best bet is to catch dragons that are menacing populated areas. Usually you just need to hang around until they land and smash em up. i killed a dragon in the air it goes though a stock animation of falling to the ground crash landing this was by a populated area and it flew though the rocks and i didn't get any bones or dragon soul because it's in a mountain but yeah i can never seem to aggro a dragon if it's flying over and doesn't want anything to do with me, i've even summoned storm arach who hurt it i can see it's hp go down but he just runs away and i can't keep up with it. It could just be alduin, I've seen alduin flying around and attacked it but it just ran away...

It is definitely possible that the dragon fell underneath the ground. I have had a couple of bosses do that to me and force me to restart the whole dungeon because I didn't get the quest item.

I just told my follower (Faendal) to attack my horse (the one that can be bought for 1k) to see which one of them would win in a fight.
+ Show Spoiler +The horse won. Time to find a new follower.

Now I don't go dressing up as an elf and whack other nerds with plastic swords, but I can get into some Elder Scrolls roleplay in a heart beat. It's just SO fun creating character completely different than eachother, deciding how they will react to situations, ethics, and so on. It's almost like writing a book about your character in your head lol. Right now I'm playing my Paladin-esque Nord, (It's what I've always played, not because of "Skyrim herdurrrr") on Master difficulty, with an oath to NEVER fast travel. While fast traveling will save you a ton of time, I truely think one of the best aspects of Skyrim is discovering new locations/dungeons, scenery, and the random encounters. + Show Spoiler +I came across a Lighthouse in the North along the shores. There were a few dead people, and after taking the time to read their journals I learned that it was a Redugard family new to the location. The mother was supporting the father, the father wanted to live in the lighthouse so that when he died of old age his wife could put his bones in the lighthouse flame, allowing him to "forever overlook the ocean". And the two kids well..they were just along with them.
Long story short, after defeating this huge bug-like boss (that was INCREDIBLY hard as a Melee, let alone on master difficulty) I had the option to take the dads remains from the boss' corpse. Thinking it would be a fitting end after all their suffering and eventual death from the monsters I decided to put his remains in the lighthouse as he wished. Upon doing so I gained a permanent passive buff called Sailors something..I forget the second word. But it was 15% bonus to healing spells, quite AMAZING for my Paladin-esque character.
Putting the remains in the fire wasn't encouraged, nor would I have known or even decided to do so if I hadn't taken the time to read the journal of the man or his wife. Hell I wouldn't have even found the Lighthouse had I just decided to fast travel back to a city/quest destination. The fact that there are rewards such as this that almost encourage roleplaying in this game is just so cool in my opinion (let alone I got a buff that helped my character in such a huge way). I would HIGHLY recommend atleast trying not to fast travel as much. Going without any is deffinately frustrating at times, but atleast limiting yourself will allow you to truely appreciate the time put into this game, in my opinion.
Well put especially the spoiler. I am sticking to an orc survival warrior that refuses to use magic with two exceptions. One he will allow his armor to be enchanted (but I refuse to perk enchanting as its against his character) and two he will use magical light but ONLY if his torch dies and he doesnt have another one. Beyond that its purely melee or bow and using potions to stay alive, no self healing/buffing/etc!
+ Show Spoiler +This was really hard for awhile until I became a werewolf and even so with beserker rage etc if I run into too many spell casters I get beat up a lot. Currently saving money for grand soul gems to enchant my armor with some basic elemental defenses. Still, the difficulty makes it fun and gives me something to constantly work towards.

So I dropped Conjuration. Went full one-hand, Restoration and Sneak + Archer.
Do I have room for one more tree?

I love getting to places that I'm not supposed to.
Solitude without loading/officially entering the city:

Think so, they said the main quests plus some side stuff gets you to about level 40-50 but that you can go all the way up to 70ish so basically 4-6 trees depending how much side stuff you do.

1 of my dudes became a full blown vampire (stage 3 atm). Totally by accident, didnt know how to cure myself.
+ Show Spoiler +apparently, if you feed as a vampire, you go straight back to stage 1. So if you you want the superpowers, you cant feed!

so I got the Master Trader perk (speech perk where "every merchant in the world gains 1000 gold for bartering") and so far theyre not getting anymore gold. waited 48 hours, still same crappy 64 to 750 gold. is this perk bugged? am i doing something wrong? actually after talking to more merchants, i think some of them got 1000 gold, others did not. does this mean only some people who sell stuff are considered merchants ? bah
edit: ya it seems only the more serious/permanent merchants are available for both investing and the 1000 gold bonus

Side thought:
Is TL the best community forum for Skyrim in terms of rate of quality replies to question, moderation and cool fan content?
Started wondering about this when I saw LeaD getting Temp banned for being dumb on page 315 of a thread that has nothing to do with SC2 or competitive gaming...
And this one thread almost has 500000 views...
Kinda crazy if its true... go TL
