I'm glad some people share my reservations about the removal of Attributes.
An Orc is as strong as an Altmer, a Nord is as quick as a Dark Elf... The real differences in the races have been removed and just made vanilla. You can play whatever race you want, and do whatever you want with it, I'm sure that is their reasoning. But really, that makes the game more boring IMO. You're gonna be an Orc Mage? Really? Or a Altmer Warrior? Sure why not.
As a long time player, I've had reservations about each and every game and each time Bethesda surprises me with a deep and satisfying RPG experience. I expect the same again, even though I am once again astounded by their reduction in the Skill/Stat dynamics.

I got the anniversary edition of oblivion it was a good deal and the limited of skyrim with the statue pre-ordered. Soon I'm going to get a collectors of morrowind and put them on a shelf above my computer gonna look cool with all 3 maps behind them :3
these last few days have been so painful omg i cant wait and still another 2 days to go. i was getting by on small tidbits of infomation but there nothing left to exhuast which i dont wanna spoil.
I still cant decide if I wanna play a mage or a stealth character. In these kinds of games I usually just make one character, and just do every single thing I can in the game with him. I played a mage in oblivion and really enjoyd it. Dual wielding spells sounds awesome, but I also kinda wanna see how a stealth character play's out when your high lvl and have good gear. I guess i'll decide on friday T_T

Yea thats extremely lame, sounds so wrong and its hard to imagine all the hardcore rpg fans of bethesda saw this as the best choice:/s. I'm confident I'm going to have a blast and its going to be great, but they really dropped the ball on some parts.

I can see the appeal in that to be honest, I personally like the idea of reducing the number of numeric attributes in general.
However, if they already removed the main attributes from the game, then the racial traits and bonuses should maybe have been stressed out more to illustrate the difference between races. They should provide more significant bonuses.
Ultimately I don't think it's something that you will actually notice in the game if you play a "reasonable" character, as it's a single player game and all the NPCs are (presumably) modelled after the TES lore. So if you play an Orc Warrior, you'll still feel as strong as an Orc should be relative to other actors in the world, which is what really matters.
Looks easy imo. Whenever he takes damage, he heals back up to full health. Magicka regenerate freakishly fast. You can heal and attack with destruction spell at the same time. Companions are very useful to bring along, they're very resilient vs dragons.

if im not mistaken (dont quote me on this)
that was one of the scripted dragon fights and it was on the easiest difficulty.
either way im not worried. as ill be playing on hardest difficulty and if thats not hard enough ill turn to mods.

Welp if difficulty works like fallout and oblivion you can use the slider to up it. Max difficulty in dlc for new vegas was very hard to impossible without preparation.

In Oblivion, increasing difficulty using the slider just mean bloated HP and damage for every monster. A generic goblin can tank a dozen fireball or power attack or so and can kill the PC in 2 or 3 hit. I hope they fix that, because it's not fun or challenging.

Yeah. I started up Oblivion on highest difficulty and then realized that Rats fight as if they were Dire Wolves. -_- Then I turned the slider back to the middle because that made no sense.

Then again, mods ftw.
Indeed. I hope that get fixed soon by a mod. I kinda want to play it on hardest, having to spend time preparing fights etc but having to shoot 20 arrows into a rat aint fun.
Although the story and RPG elements really appeal to me, can someone tell if the combat is as bad as in Oblivion? I really tried to like that game multiple times but I just couldn't get past the combat where all you could do is whack your sword in a single way.

I enjoy challenging games, most of the times I start games on Hard, but not Very hard difficulty. Some games really get tedious on very hard and not fun at all. This was the case with Oblivion which was at it best on 60-70% difficulty imo.
