Also, it should be $60 on Steam for the regular edition. Gamestop was selling preorders for it for $40 when you trade-in multiple games at the same time.

Other than what other people have already said: Several years down the line you'll still be getting tons of free content and graphics updates in the form of mods. Elder Scrolls / Fallout series have an amazing modding community and there's new professional-level content out on almost weekly basis. Five or six years from now you'll still be getting some value out of the game.

Really don´t know if I'm gonna play skyrim in my xbox or PC, you guys mind helping me out? PC = My PC is really new and can probably run it with everything maxed, so the graphics will be amazing. 24 inch screen. Xbox = Big ass TV + surround sound + achievements for my xbox account (don´t care about steam achievements for some reason) + amazing controller. But the graphics are probably a lot worse and the framerate won´t be as smooth, so I'm afraid that will ruin the experience. So really it all boils down to Graphics vs Surround sound+Big TV. Which do you guys think will give me a more immersive experience? I played Oblivion on the Xbox and loved it btw, are these games that can be enjoyed as much on the PC? Your thoughts?

I'm getting it on both xbox first because I'm in the works of building a capable computer. I want the xbox achievements too even though they don't really mean anything and I think its immature lol. But for sure you'll want the PC version later for the graphical mods plus also community glitch hotfixes.

You should really take mods into consideration in this debate, since that's truly what your going to the PC for. If you want the "Xbox" experience, on the "PC" just wire your PC into your big tv and hook a wired xbox controller into it and just play on your couch. The Console Vs PC for this game really comes down to personal preference(Do I want mods or no) so no one can decide for you, but I would really really consider mods when making your decision. Check out TES Nexus for mods from Oblivion. I personally used complete overhauls of the game that changed a ton of things, and some great quest mods, and there are other things out there, like a mod that is a completely new world. I probably put 300 hours into Oblivion, only about 40-50 of that was "Vanilla" without any modded content.

I think I have no choice but to buy both versions since I'm not a technical guy and cba to hook up my PC to my TV since they´re very far apart.

I think PC is better than 360 for these kind of games, but the modding potential of the PC makes it a no-brainer imo.

Well if you like bethesda and the game you'll feel good about supporting them extra and you make up for one pirate dickhead. I love the elder scrolls I think i've bought like morrowind like 4 times over the years.

Because buying whole GOTY on steam was cheaper than getting all DLCs for boxed edition :D
