I am not very gosu with tech stuff etc so I wonder if you guys can gimme some advice on if I should bring my laptop or computer ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/3r65L.jpg) And specific information on my laptop: + Show Spoiler +I should just wait for a week but I am too much of a nerd for that ^^. Also, not sure if this is possible but can you copy your save from one computer to the other like in oblivion? Please help me out!! Thanks in advance! As for save files - I don't see why you shouldn't be able to bring over save files to another computer as with any steam game. That's not so much the case. I'm not sure for some games, but I know for a few of my Steam games as well as my non-steam games all saved games are saved in the Documents portion of your Drive. So just because you have Steam doesn't mean your games will be saved on multiple computers. You can, however, get the save files and email them to yourself or put them on a thumb drive and put them in your other computers Documents folder and play the save. Ah, that's what I meant with "bring over save files", sorry that I wasn't clear on that. ^^'
Ah, cool then.
You should be good then
I'd bust out the i7 though if you have it. That laptop is ass. It will run the game, but it will skip like crazy.

No school Friday. Skyrim pre-loaded and unlocking at midnight.
I'm conflicted whether or not I should come home from work on Thursday at 4, just fall asleep until 11:30 and just wake up and play Skyrim all morning and day. Or if I should fall asleep early and wake up at like 6 AM (like I normally do if I fall asleep early) and just play the day away revigorated...

Sooo I have the game in my hands, but cannot install before it's unlocked. So annoying! :[
Tried to use FlyVPN to get a Taiwan IP, but the wait time went from 1 day 10 hours to 2 days something.
Anyone had any success using a VPN client for tricking Steam in this way before?

Anyone had any success using a VPN client for tricking Steam in this way before? If you get an australian or new zealand VPN you can do that and depending on your location get the game like 12 hours earlier. Connect to VPN, log into steam and do the encrypt shit for skyrim, put steam in offline mode, disc from VPN and voila you can play Just be sure to not go online before it has been released in your own timezone(I think). Its done a lot, but I cant find a free aus/NZ vpn

Do you NEED to have steam to play this game? Kind of like BF3 NEEDS Origin to run?

E: You need it to install the game and start it, though you can play it in offline mode after that (though as previously mentioned in the thread it doesn't always work)

Well that sucks ... I don't want to have to install that program .. I have had alot of issues in the past .. and I already have Origin and many other mandatory launchers .. what happened to the good old days where you got a CD, Installed the game, and just played it...

I may try do the same, but the idea of sleeping during the evening knowing that Skyrim is just round the corner will probably prevent me from sleeping :<

They've gotten alot better and tbh are better than any other PC platform out there. Not really a big deal IMO
