all except the 1st part is part of steam as well(i'm not too fimilar with vac to say much about intrusive software, or that steam overlay shit). So again what's the problem? Intrusive software is part of anti hack software in general, want intrusive software play wow. I think people suck up to valve and hate EA and that's the difference. IE there are valve fanboys but no EA fanboys
So with your reasons you should boycott all steam games as well.

Lol I hate both equally for basically those 3 reasons, but what am I going to do, not play awesome games?

If you hate the software but are not willing to boycott then simply purchase the game while installing and playing a pirated copy which circumvents Origin/Steam. You can give developers your money while enjoying your product free of hassle, unless you want to play multiplayer, in which case you're screwed.

Or you list in detail reasons on the developer forums/email so developers for steam and valve can make appropriate changes. Ofc with shitty support by steam and origin who knows when they'll get around to you :D

If you get banned on Steam, you just can't use the servers with anti-cheat enabled.

You can have your account shut down by steam but they rarely do it for hacking in game. Most often it's done to people who buy games in bulk from shady sites selling steam codes and to those who trade accounts. I don't care if EA banns people for hacking in multi-player games. Hackers ruin multi-player modes in games, is it harsh yes but it's not like people accidentally hack.

That was very useful. There is no reason for multiplayer not to be fun, unless you are paired with bad teammates, which is the risk of any coop system. As I understand it, you can't pick who you play with but are subject to automatic matchmaking via their servers, which is unfortunate but understandable. Can't wait to try out the demo.

If that's true, that's the single stupidest thing Bioware has ever done. Playing ME3 with my old roommate, who's been waiting for ME3 with me since ME1, would be amazingly epic. Playing ME3 with some 13year old who would make the South Park writers blush, not so much.

I highly doubt Bioware would be so stupid as to disable the option of having a friends list in a modern day multiplayer game. They're much too experienced for that. Hell, they make MMO's as well, I'm quite sure they won't make such an obvious blunder.

Ugh, I am getting conflicting information on this. Now it seems you can in fact invite your friends, though it is 4 player coop, which may have you playing with random internet people if you have less than three friends online.

*ghost_403 breathes a sigh of relief
Multiplayer ME3 was almost ruined for me there for a moment.
Next order of buisness: find two more people to play ME3 with. Anyone else buying it for the 360?

My first X360 died and I can't get my saves from the hard drive, so I'm playing through Mass Effect 1 again to get a new save. Mass Effect 1 gameplay seems so bad compared to Mass Effect 2. All I can say is thank god the achievements are preserved which speeds things up.

you are aware that you can start a ME2 / ME3 career without having a savegame from the previous version?

You can't choose what happened though.

If you're smart enough to actually import, you should do it all the way from the start, not skipping half and doing half, that'll just give a weird story branch.

It will probably take less then a week before a trainer is out that will let you make a custom ME2 import with all choises of your choise. Just like there already is for ME2.

Not sure about the 360 version. Google is your friend mate, look around a bit

If there's some way to do it, I'll make available my saves form ME1 and ME2 available. I maxed characters for both of them, maybe even with a few different story choices.
