It's likely you've updated to 1.1. TL's server currently runs on 1.0.0, so you'll have to downgrade to access the server.

Pardon me for being a broken record, but this sort of schedule is dangerous to the survival of the server. Well as of right now... 1.1 Bukkit was only released two weeks ago The following vital plugins are still 1.0 and give me errors with 1.1: LogBlock (logging plugin) WorldGuard (anti-grief plugin) WorldEdit (anti-grief plugin) LWC (chest protection) Multiverse (Nether access) I'd really prefer not updating until these have non-dev builds available for them but if enough people want to I will. Don't blame me if any problems arise though ~_~

Don't blame me if any problems arise though ~_~ Over in the 20% cooler server, WorldEdit and WorldGuard both work fine on 1.1. I can't talk about LogBlock, LWC, or Multiverse (although Multiverse-Core just updated for CB 1.1-R3 yesterday, thankfully), but I can attest that those two work as intended with no problems so far. I use the latest versions: WorldEdit: WorldEdit 5.1.1 for CB 1.1-R3 on 23 Jan 2012 WorldGuard: WorldGuard 5.4 for 1.0.0 on 18 Dec 2011 I would also heartily recommend HawkEye if you can't get LogBlock to work. In fact, I would recommend HawkEye anyway. You're a more experienced server admin than I, however, so I'm sure you have your reasons. ![]() As to LWC, we don't need it in our server, but I understand your desire to wait for it for sure. Anyway, great job on the server, I'm glad it appears to be a success.

Don't blame me if any problems arise though ~_~ Ah, well that's understandable. Most of those plugins seem to be pretty important. I kind of wish there were other alternatives we could use though, like a different chest locking system, but I understand that implementing another one wouldn't automatically lock the ones locked with LWC. The reason I bring it up though is that there's another server that I play on sometime which had 1.1 running up awhile ago. They also have a logblocking plugin, LWC, multiverse etc type mods up and running with. I'm not sure how many problems they have but it seems fine. I assume there's good reasons why this server can't implement our equivalent plugins. Makes me sad though because I prefer playing on this server the most T_T.

Those five in particular are the five oldest and most used in their respective fields so I've had over a year of experience with each of them. None of the alternatives are quite as full-featured except for maybe the multi-world plugins (since I only really use it to open a Nether at the moment). I could use a different logging plugin (such as Hawkeye) or a different chest protection plugin but that would involve a lot of compatability issues with the databases I currently have and the current data wouldn't really transfer over the way I need it to. It would basically be like starting fresh and having to re-lock everything and having no block data before today. Every time there's a patch there are generally three types of servers that go with it; 1) Servers with their own dev teams that patch public plugins or custom make their own - These are up and running within days 2) Servers that use dev builds of plugins - These are up in 1-2 weeks 3) Servers that use Release Builds of plugins - This is what I prefer I have used dev builds in the past and I'm actually using a few now but from personal experience they tend to come with quite a few issues that tend to show up at random after the server is running for a while. A lot of errors you can't really find with just one person. It takes thousands of hours of use before someone finds it which is why I prefer that plugins have thousands of hours under their belts before I personally use them. Let other people do the testing for me, basically. That being said I'll speak with some devs tomorrow and find out how stable some of these 1.1 builds really are (sometimes they are rock solid and being held back from a Release Build because the dev wants to add a feature... sometimes there's a nasty error that can break everything. Each dev is different in how they push their builds).

I would still recommend HawkEye to you guys, but I understand the headache that comes with switching. I wish I could help make the transfer easier, but all I can really say is that we've updated to 1.1, and that there haven't been any errors with any of the plugins, even those that forced me to use a dev build. Good luck, guys.

This seems to have started since after I mined a bunch of veins with a silk touch pick, but both iron/gold blocks I already had stored and new blocks I've found seem to have this issue. I've tried several different pickaxes. I don't quite understand what you mean; if anything, that sounds like it's working as intended. Like, when you mine an iron or gold ore block, the ore should come out AS a block. What's the problem?
