We have over 130 registered members from EU, with 32 that are ready to go with us come launch. They have good pings to US East servers, and are as excited, if not more, than we are. Guild wars 2 will allow for EU to join US servers and vice-versa. It's all in the timing. That being said, is why we have 2 seperate raid times throughout the week, as to allow for EU members to run with the guild during their prime-time, and also during the US East prime-time. (past dinner respectively) To be fair though, if connection is a huge concern (your pinging over 300 to a east coast server), and you wish to find something local, I can recommend a few EU-only guilds out there. Just trying to help. Let me know ![]()

if the lag is not to bad for me i would like to join for sure! had like 20-40 ms in WoW a few years back so it should be fine i guess? have no idea how to check tho, just did a quick speedtest to Washington and only had ~130 ms on that, but i have no idea if that makes any diff in-game at the end of the day xD i guess i'll PM you a app and hope for the best once i can try it?

Good luck in your ventures, and hopefully we will run into you in-game. Competitive-mindset does not = no fun btw ![]() Oh I know, I was in hardcore raiding and PvP for a long time in WoW and I've had plenty of laughs with it. But it's nothing compared to the "new" feeling you get from playing a new MMO. Best of luck.

Your welcome to post an app on the forum, and give it a try. 130ms isnt bad. What about atlanta or chicago? If you can maintain under 150ms your just fine. In shooters thats about the breaking point as well.

The thing is, we fact-check all applicants, which leads to even more laughs when they think they can get away with exaggerating their apps. You should hear some of the bullshit we go through on teamspeak.

![]() From the google searches I've done I cant really find any solid info about "Raids" in GW2 per say, obviously its still in development and we don't know everything about the kind of content that will be avaliable, but the general jist is that there won't be raids like there are in WoW for example, more just 5 man "hard" dungeons and large world dynamic events. Thus I am curious as to what exactually you plan to do with your raiding team come the release of GW2. Just abit of background on me, I'm a very active WoW raider, currently in a 13/13hc guild, hence why my curiosity was sparked by your thread on competitive / hardcore raiding in GW2, so I'd kind of like to find out more about how you think raiding would work in GW2. Thanks mate

What limiting factors do you have on guild size that are going to mean you have to close recruitment? Has there been a statement about how max size on in-game guilds or what? I'd love to play with you guys on release (or even in the beta if I can get in), but I don't wanna join and then be inactive for the next 10 months while we wait for the game to come out.... Like said, we wouldn't mind recruiting every single decent person that applies. Lately however, especially with the more experience ex-competive mmo players, the topic has come up more and more lately that the in-game cap might be 100, like in GW1. I would jump for joy if they announced tommorrow that the guild cap is 200 like wow, but we have to prepare for the lesser circumstance. The guild roster thus far is about 30% casual 70% hardcore/competitive nearing 80 members. These are all teamliquid posters that have been joining since this was started 8 months ago, so its not like others didn't have the chance. From the getgo we didn't have any application at all, allowing diehard fans the chance to join without question. Now that were more established, were aiming to fulfill the competitive side of the guild with topnotch players, which we've been (thankfully) doing without issue. We've obtained a lot of talent from all areas of gaming, especially top GW1 players, which I feel is among the biggest assets we have. On an average day most all members will be mixed in with the same activites, with the goal of character improvement, what changes however, is at set afternoons/nights when the competitive groups get together for practice/skirmishes in arena and world pvp. That's what were aiming to organize this very moment in fact, as any member can tell you. Its a very delicate balance of recognizing talent, and distributing skill. We can only create the infrastructure at the moment obviously, a lot of the work still remains once we get our bearings in the game, but the experience being brought to the table by the members is invaluable. I wish I could word it more elegantly, my apologies. Those in the guild, ex-competitive or casual alike, all have the idea. In essence at the base were attempting to create a creative atmosphere to develop new builds and strategies, on another end we have a large growing group dedicated to taking the other experienced members in the guild and giving 110% to representing our guild and teamliquid. Its always a fine balance as you can imagine, but so far its been working fine without issue. Sorry for the wall of text, and grammar. I hope this answers at least a few of your questions, and perhaps some others.

From that I inferred that you had some concrete information. If there is a limit of 100 I don't want to take the spot of someone who is going to be producing for the guild between now and release. If in-game cap is higher (or even unlimited) you will be allowing more people in, right? I'm confident enough that the cap will be higher though that I don't mind taking my chances and waiting.

I don't quite know how to word this, but in TL if your not "absolute" and straight to the point with the members, they don't seem to "get it". Can any mods give a shout? Lol. But between you and me, I hope your on the right track and they raise the limit to 200.
