Well to be fair. Tarnished coast should've been placed against Northern Shiverpeaks or another powerhouse. They had 2x our number at any given time. I basically lived in the battlegrounds this past weekend and it was sick. Although Ehmry bay NEVER putting up reinforced walls or gates doesn't help.

But atm Henge of Deravi & Blackgate are 1v2'ing us constantly and we are currently in last, but not by a ton. ~35k for Henge, ~25k for Blackgate, and ~20k for us.
It's fun being on a powerhouse server, them buffs so good, constantly 2-3x other servers scores in WvW. This current battle is the only time we haven't been stomping and mostly because the other servers are working together to keep us down.

I originally rolled on Northern Shiverpeaks cause that's where my friend was but the queue times for WvWvW were incredible.

Well after they released then new build it seems like Ehmry mostly logged off or is doing PvE. Tarnished has almost 100% of the map now.
I am wondering how Anet is balancing the servers. Maybe its a case of Ehmry being mostly in a different time zone and when most of our players go to sleep they log in. It really was a huge swing after the new build came out like totally dramatic. They took Eredon in about an hour and a half it seems.

Yeah. Eredon had a couple guilds consuming the map, one called "Oceanic Gaming Alliance" and another called "The Brotherhood". Both probably Australian guilds. They really need to do something to counteract the Aussie domination. Can't really think of anything fair myself, though. It's hard enough playing with 200+ ms latency.

Sadly i don't see GW2 ever really taking off as ESPORTS (maybe as much as WoW arenas...), so i can't really get hyped for that.
I wish GW1 would have had a more dedicated tournament scene with good casters and such, it easily matches DotA/LoL in complexity. It even had a nice observer interface and streamlined graphics that didn't obscure vision. GW2 PvP consists of lots of graphical effects, explosions, colorful clouds and such that hide what is really going on. The fact that some maps even have an underwater part for the central capture point really destroys any chance of spectating the game properly.

I was thinking, the Mystic Forge merchant Miyani sell stuff for Skill Points. How does one aquire skill points to afford to pay for stuff like Bloodstone Shard, wich costs 200 SP. :O

Ive been told that when youre 80 you continue to get EXP and with each "levelup" you still get a skillpoint. Not sure if true since im not 80 yet but that could be a way.

Yes, once you hit 80 you can continue to "level up" at 254k XP per level.

I can see it eventually becoming a esport its possible. I am sure since they said before release they want to do something with e-sports that they have it in place to add a spectator mode easily. When I watch sPvP streams on Twitch I can tell whats going.
What is interesting to me though is WvW if they added a spectator mode to WvW and had a way to hop around to all the action it would be entertaining as soon as the majority of the population understand how to play WvW. It has so much depth

I haven't actually participated in wvwvw but I get the impression its something that goes over hours and hours. I'm not so sure if that would be a successful spectator sport.
