The game was designed for you to have two weapon sets at a time, not all. If you keep weapon set changing during a match, then what's the point of having 2 weapon set cap? Why not just up the cap to 3 or 4 or making it uncapped? Part of the challenge of PvP is to come up with a build that can be useful in many situations; this includes what weapons you use. Switching builds out of combat can be neat and separate great players from good ones. But at the same time, it can also cause PvP to be a big game of rock paper scissors that requires you to play with your inventory/hero tab open all the time, which kills the immersion of combat. Getting a build "right" is also a skill that rewards player creativity. Rock paper scissors less so since you can just run out of combat, make a counter build, then go back in and kill the guy np. Then load up another counter build, etc etc etc. It'll just be a game of counters which can get kinda dumb. | ||

As it stands, you can roam very effectively on a mesmer without having ANY swiftness on your "combat" weapon sets. The Focus is a pretty poor weapon for pvp, however you can put a line of swiftness down. So you have your 2 weapon sets, AND a free out of combat swiftness buff. Other classes do similar things with invis/swiftness etc. People should be forced to decide between having mobility and losing some combat effectiveness, or have that effectiveness but losing a bit of mobility. At the moment you get the best of every world which completely removes the whole point of being limited to 2 weapon sets. Might as well make it 3. | ||

It can let you sneak up and do some speshul tektiks on an enemy team to catch them off guard, but since it'd be limited it would stop the "build wars" stigma.
