Also 400g without doing anything with the AH except selling BTW. I could have made a stupid amount of gold manipulating the AH but I didnt want to put in the time and effort. I had to prep for the next phase.

This was my take on the matter. We didn't see a point to grinding out for a 38 cap and the 27 gear was just bad for 32 so we didnt bother with SM much. From what I read 400 gold is also literally next to nothing at lvl 60 so that doesn't really seem worth the time either. My group of friends spent the weekend achievement farming instead and it was pretty fun. Not to take anything away from Medrea, its still pretty impressive. Anyway, my friend and I are planning to aim for the Prime titles (server first lvl 60 for each class, only 1 person gets them). We are not on Valley of Titans so I felt like seeing if anyone else was gonna try and if they had any ideas on how to streamline the process and get there as fast as possible. Our current plan is mostly to quest while be extremely selective on which ones we take and teaming up with anyone we see in the area at the time. As we are a pretty low dps combo (Lancer and Mystic) we will probably skip the majority of BAM hunting and such because they take so long to kill. After reading the story/interview at http://www.terapvp.com/threads/3-days-to-max-level-tera-korea-ob.783/ about the early days of ktera this seems to be the most efficient method. We do have a slayer who has considered joining us but may not be able to stay for the entire run to 60, his dps will surely help speed us up as will picking up any other dps classes we see along the way. Just wondering if TL had any thoughts on the matter. Most people here are pretty hardcore gamers with good problem solving skills. :p

I barely got only alch/weapon/leather to 150 before I ran out of mats and gave up on spending any more of my meager gold to buy additional ore and stupid leather from broker. No the crafting in tera stinks except for alchemy which I have kept up on the gathering for. Endgame they are the best items but they are very very expensive so i will tackle that as a separate problem. There is nothing I can do about that now. It slows down but not in a way that breaks the current trendline. At 35 people can start doing Cultists Refuge so the faster you can get there, the faster you can get items. The faster you get items the faster you can sell people those items and get rich. And as the saying goes the rich get richer. With a prominent amount of starting wealth one can corner a piece of the brokerage and remain on top throughout the curve. Then later have enough money to throw around to buy people's votes for Vanarchy. Then after becoming Vanarch you can tax the auction house and make money off of people making money. Now you have a crazy amount of resources to buy chrono scrolls to play Tera for free. + Show Spoiler + Or do other things with. I should note though that only level 37's can complete the quest for CR that activates the boss that drops the good loot. On April 25 2012 01:25 Sylvex wrote: This was my take on the matter. His only real secret was playing a very long time to be honest. The warrior was probably just good at the game and solo'd a lot of BAMs instead of skipping them. If you are playing a lancer or a healer. Then teaming up with a DPS is pretty much a necessity if you want to beat other people. But for the DPS, it's kind of a charity act depending. Archers probably benefit from having a lancer helping them out. Bad warriors will get benefits from having a pocket healer.

Archers probably benefit from having a lancer helping them out. Bad warriors will get benefits from having a pocket healer. Our major advantage at the moment (I think) is that both of us are ready to play for 2-3 days without sleep if necessary (which we assume it will be). As for requiring the dps to beat other people, remember we only have to beat other lancers and mystics. So the only ones we would require dps to beat would be the ones who have their own dps classes helping. A group of 5 will probably level very quickly, but even more quickly if they trade out the lancer for another dps, so we will see how it goes. I don't really see dps teaming up as a charity. By joining a group you don't really lose anything and it allows for multitasking which actually speeds up the process a lot.

Healers benefit greatly from Slayer and Berserker since they have a super reliable knockdown. Which is good because Priest and Mystic do ok damage in a burst but only if the target stays there.

I enjoy the berserker, and I've soloed every BAM I've come across, all-be-it slowly, but I'm still saddened by the damage I'm seeing my Sorcerer friend put out. It'll probably get changed at some point, but at least one of his abilities actually does MORE damage the more targets it hits, where as mine, the damage is spread out. That and he's simply hitting harder, from range, with more speed than I'd ever hope for. I know TS is supposed to hit like a mac truck, and I'm still quite happy with my zerker, but hearing the #s he's putting out, relative to my own is disheartening. Guess I'll try it come the 28th and see how it goes. Not sure I'd be able to solo BAMs like I can on my Zerker though.

Really high risk. But doable. Lack of being able to Fireblast all the time hurts. Warriors and Archers get to solo BAMs effectively. Lancers can do it too. Your sorc friend might have a better crystal build for him than you do for yourself. Thats a common occurence. Because at this point you should be doing way more damage than a sorc until the sorc gets celerity. Crystal builds are way undervalued by the community at large. Everyones damage goes down when more things are hit. The sorc has a glyph that is an exception to this for the big nuke.

Yes, way too many people have suboptimal crystal setups (mixing boss + normal instead of making dedicated inventory profiles..wtf) In CBT I was amazed when I could crit CR bosses with 9k overhands..now I can hit higher than that with individual stabs/slashes on blade draws + quest blues on anything in general just because I'm not using stuff like 5% increased to boss anymore. And having that 4th slot from golds helps too.

Glistening (Mp regen on back crit) Savage (Back crit multiplier) Acromonious (Back crit multiplier on BAMS only) Forceful (attack power when you back crit) That build pretty much does maximum damage but not maximum crits. For max crits replace Glistening with Slayer (crit multiplier when below 50 percent HP) and Forceful with Focused (crit mulitplier on enraged monster). Then i would prob be seeing some ridiculous numbers. But only while low on health, and only on enraged BAMS. Replace these with fine versions obviously. For soloing normal monsters I use: Glistening. Brilliant. Brilliant. Brilliant. For BAM solo on those nagas I was using my dungeon setup. For crab BAM soloing I was using my monster soloing setup except i replaced a brilliant with a Forceful (hard to get a ton of back crits).

I was using a similar setup to the one you mentioned here: Savage (Back crit multiplier) Acromonious (Back crit multiplier on Bosses) Focused (Crit multiplier on enraged) Carving (increase crit rate) You can get 53k crits on a debuffed boss with fireblast if the stars align. This is with overchannel (+25% dmg for next skill)

Go to 7:12 "Flagrantly Homosexual Crystal of Regenerating mana when you crit stuff in the Arse" Watch him proc that shit all day. Also that video is good for showing how to properly tank a boss in PvE. Too many warriors think this game is fucking Bleach anime and dodge through the boss like there fucking Byakuya or some shit. "Also remember that just because the class is based on evasive dodging doesnt mean you can't avoid shit by just walking out of the fucking way"

Otherwise all sorcs abilities are reduced damage for AOE on multiple mobs. Arcane pulse and ice needle also do damage in a straight line so doesn't matter how many it hits, the first one will still get the same damage. Subsequent mobs get reduced damage but its not like area AOEs.
