These guys should be ashamed of themselves.
Pete Prisco at cbssl is notorious for his terrible lists.
Ive really never read a top list for any sport that I liked. The writers know putting something dumb is a quick way to score hits.

Seconded on Prisco. It's like he copies the standard list, changes a few things around at random, and writes one or two nonsensical lines justifying it. If the games that week agree with his list, readers are subjected to endless self-congratulatory wanking. If they don't (and they almost always don't) we never hear about it again.

Petey isn't on that list, but yeah... I had a friend reference him in a draft grade thing, and I blasted him for days on it. Pete is such a dipshit, idk how he still has a job.

If it makes you feel better the "experts" at ESPN can be just as ridiculous.

Not sure who I should start for next week matchups:
Cedric Benson vs BAL Brandon Jackson vs BUF Javid Best vs PHI

i personally think brandon jackson will do well given buffalo are complete dog shit at defense.

BJ, CB, JB in that order is your starting preference

Benson, if I recall correctly, fucking murdered Baltimore TWICE last year. Best is good, but take away the TD's and he had a shit game vs Chicago. He won't repeat vs Philly. Agreed with GTR on Jackson. Still, GB is primarily a passing team, and Rodgers is primed for a big game this week, so I'd be wary of Jackson... plus Jackson kinda sucks anyway.
I'd start Benson over Brandon Jackson based on history alone. Jackson has yet to prove he can carry the load for the team when Grant is out.
|
True on that second note. Still, Grant did get between 18-25 easy every game and it is buffalo... Benson will get carries, but the number depends if they fall behind early agan

hey I thought Miami would run ALL over Buffalo considering Buffalo has a good backfield (2nd most interceptions last year) and our best linebacker retired, and the other is out for the year. Was really surprised at the buffalo defense last week, considering the running attack miami has. Now our offense didn't surprise me as its utter garbage.
That being said, Do I start Matt Schaub vs. Redskins, or Carson Palmer vs. Baltimore ? Made the mistake of starting Schaub over Palmer last week, (cost me 50 fucking points... WHO THE HELL IS ARIAN FOSTER?!?) but this week, Palmer is against Baltimore, and like Sweet said, Benson ran all over BAL twice...
|
Don't be a fool. Schaub vs the Skins all day every day.
|
Hm, who should I start here. I'm new to this sort of thing. Matt Forte @DAL, DeAngelo Williams vTB, LeSean McCoy @DET. Forte did really well in week 1 but I don't know if he'll be nearly as effective on the road against Dallas.

Should I start Mike Williams (SEA) @ Denver or Austin Collie (IND) vs. the Giants? On one hand, Collie had a breakout week but that doesn't ensure that he'll get many passes thrown his way this week. Williams is the lead receiver for the Seahawks but their QB is questionable. wat2do?

The only teams that looked good last week were the Patriots and Texans. Chiefs get some points for performing way above expectations; Titans ditto for exposing the Raiders (whose preseason fraud fooled a lot of people, including me) but Tennessee was really sloppy too. I'm tempted to add the Giants, but man! - all those turnovers.
I could have won last week if Schaub had gotten a chance to throw. I'm a little leery now, but 'Skins pass D wasn't that impressive last week. Hmm.

Jackson carried a decent load last week. I agree if I were drafting this would be a concern, but its not nearly as big of a deal for 1 week against the buffalo D.

How in the mother fuck did Carson score 50 more points than anyone? His game was mediocre, at best. Do you get 15pts/td 1pt/10 yds? Wtf?

Carrying the load != getting a lot of carries. It means being productive with those carries, which Jackson has never done.

That's a tough one, because Champ will probably cover Mike Williams, and he is not good enough to beat Champ. I'd start Collie in this situation. It's one of the rare instances that I would start a #4 over a #1 WR.

Okay, thanks. Sounds good.

Dwill vs TB or ahmad bradshaw vs IND?
Dwill seems like the right choice but seeing as foster ran train all over IND i'm thinking bradshaw can do some serious work this week.
