Yeah, I would be more critical of taking MJD over AP... especially since MJD got injured last week (nothing too serious i believe, but an injury nonetheless).

I usually stay away from runningbacks with knee injuries like the plague, but I had McGahee when they were playing merry go round with the Ravens running game a few years ago, and I have zero desire to do that again even if Ray Rice is really good. And I didn't want to get a QB first or another RB... sooo yeah.

QB: Brady, Palmer RB: Jackson, Mendenhall, Slaton, J. Harrison, WR: Smith (Car.), Welker, Ward, Driver, T.O., Berrian TE: Daniels K: Tynes (NYG) DEF: Philly It is a 10 Person; QB, 2RB, 3WR, TE, K, DEF league. With 0.25PPR league (weird, I know). Draft was tonight. The internet screwed up or else Philly wouldn't have been picked in Round 11. I think a matchup defense would have been better (e.g., Tennessee (vs. Oak) or Arizona (@StL)). Thoughts?

Minnesota Vikings at New Orleans Saints - Favre starts hot and gets worse, usually, but he's got no receivers! Cleveland Browns at Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Tampa at least resembles a football team; Cleveland still has Mangini. Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills - Of the two, Miami has a former Michigan QB and has actually won games recently. Cincinnati Bengals at New England Patriots - I'm never comfortable picking against Bellichick, but the Bengals plain have more talent this year. I think. Indianapolis Colts at Houston Texans - The Texans would be a contender in most divisions, but I'll believe they can beat the Colts if and when they ever do. Denver Broncos at Jacksonville Jaguars - Neither team is in fantastic shape, but this game is essentially MJD vs an entire football team, and I'm not sure MJD is quite that good. Atlanta Falcons at Pittsburgh Steelers - Falcons have been hyped so much this offseason I can't help but pick them to fall flat in game one. Though I don't like seeing the Steelers win. Oakland Raiders at Tennessee Titans - This is my wild pick of the week. I can offer no solid evidence, but some considerations: 1) Oakland almost upset SD last year in the first game... with JaMarcus at the controls. Campbell is an actual quarterback. 2) An alumnus of my college is Oakland's starting center. Carolina Panthers at New York Giants - I was going to pick this one the other way around, and then I remember that the Cats hung over 40 on New York last year. Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears - Let's go Detroit! (5-11 for the year, but right now I'll drink the Kool-Aid.) Arizona Cardinals at St Louis Rams - Yes, Steven Jackson is phenomenal. Yes, Arizona doesn't really have a quarterback, and lost half it's star receiving duo. I don't care: I don't believe in Bradford, and I'm not convinced he has a line to stop the rush. 5 sacks, 2 ints for Bradford. Anderson will throw 3 picks, but it won't matter. Green Bay Packers at Philadelphia Eagles - I think the Eagles are good, but the Packers are in the discussion for the best team in the conference, preseason looks-wise anyway. San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks - I actually like the Seahawks. They need a new QB, as of about two years ago, but hey. Dallas Cowboys at Washington Redskins - McNabb got blown out twice at the end of last year. The Eagles have better personnel than the Redskins and (I'm convinced) a better coach. I don't like the Cowboys, but this should be entertaining. Baltimore Ravens at New York Jets - Ryan may be the best coach in this matchup, but I think he's got less-experienced and less-skilled players to work with... and you can't argue much with the Raven's results either. San Diego Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs - Hahahahaha. I don't even remember who KC's coach is.

Thoughts? I like your QB's. Palmer should have a good year, you know Brady will, the only thing that might get tough with that is deciding who to play on what week. HB's are solid at the starting spots, but your backups leave something to be desired. Your WR's are easily the weak spot on your team, looking at it now. T.O. could end up with a great year; Steve Smith should have a more productive season in '10; Welker is tough... he's great if you're in a legit PPR league (you aren't), but in a league where you aren't getting 1PPR then he's not that great. He's a very streaky WR, from what I've seen. The same can be said of Driver, and Ward just isn't a great fantasy WR. Owen Daniels is gonna rip shit up this year, nice pickup, and don't drop him on the bye week. Kicker doesn't matter (even if it does, judging is almost impossible). Defense... I would be mildly upset if I walked away with Philly's D this year. You're right, though, Reid is definitely better. I also want to point out that the Texans HAVE beaten Indy before. They won on a last second FG before, 27-24. I think it was the '08 season.

Minnesota Vikings at New Orleans Saints - Simply the better team because of Brees. Cleveland Browns at Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Tampa at least resembles a football team; Cleveland still has Mangini. I'll just ditto this. Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills - Miami looks real, at least WC competitive Cincinnati Bengals at New England Patriots -Cinci's offense is quietly looking real balanced... Indianapolis Colts at Houston Texans - Minor upset here. Texans have been getting a lot better and they always play indy tough Denver Broncos at Jacksonville Jaguars - Jax once good D now blows and their offense is just as bad. [b]Atlanta Falcons[b] at Pittsburgh Steelers - Last year was bad due to Turner being injured and Ryan still being young. More experience and a healthy turner will easily beat a good Steelers team that's currently leaderless til Ben is back. Oakland Raiders at Tennessee Titans - I buy this upset, only because i think Oakland was at least ok with a real QB. I think J Campbell can at least be an acceptable starter and that's all they need to beat the Tennessee CJs. vince Young is terrible and will probably cost them 14 pts. Carolina Panthers at New York Giants - They will be better than people think Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears - Detroit loses this but improves on the year. This is one of like five chicago wins though. They suck. Get Cutler some WRs. Arizona Cardinals at St Louis Rams - Rams are that bad because AZ ain't good anymore. Green Bay Packers at Philadelphia Eagles - Eagles gonna suck and Pack is gonna compete for their div and get WC at least. San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks- Hawks are a mess and Caroll isn't an NFL coach. Singletary is. And he's got a good team and hopefully a qb who wont fuck it up. Dallas Cowboys at Washington Redskins - Skins are improved, but the boys are much better. Baltimore Ravens at New York Jets - Both great d and run games. Balt has a much better WR and QB core. San Diego Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs - KC blows. Rivers is gonna have a great year ' Hows this team: 12 teams, picked 2nd. Scoring changes: 25pypp, pTD 6, INT -2, 10rypp/recypp, 6pts TD rush/rec, 20 Return ypp, 6 Ret TD I didn't notice the return yards until late... probably woulda grabbed a #3 who returns as depth. Philip Rivers (SD - QB) Roddy White (Atl - WR)- Malcom Floyd (SD - WR) Adrian Peterson (Min - RB) Jonathan Stewart (Car - RB) TE Chris Cooley (Was - TE) W/R/T: Justin Forsett (Sea - RB) W/R/T: Brandon Jacobs (NYG - RB) BENCH: Donald Brown (Ind - RB) Dez Bryant (Dal - WR) Braylon Edwards (NYJ - WR) Austin Collie (Ind - WR) Kevin Smith Det RB DEF New Orleans (NO - DEF) No new player Notes Min Thu 8:30 pm

Poorly veiled brag attempt. But completely fucking sick team. With the exception of your flex players, I don't see any major weakness (maybe WR2), but Flex players normally are hit or miss. Can the Bears PLEASE get Cutler a fucking OLine before they worry about WR's? Fuck, Fitz, Boldin, and AJ wouldn't be enough for a team where the QB gets sacked in less than two seconds most of the time. The only picks I'd change are Car>NYG, I think Carolina rebounds off of a terrible year last year with a better QB, despite him sucking in preseason. Steve Smith comes back, and they'll light it up. Indy>Hou... I love Houston, but I don't think they have what it takes to beat Indy. I'm picking Indy to go all the way again this year. NYJ>BAL... Revis will shut Boldin down, and I think Cromartie will keep TJ at bay, which leaves Mason, and Ray Rice to beat them. I just don't see it happening. Most probably a low scoring game though. It's definitely not an easy pick though. As much as I don't dislike Campbell, I kind of hope he gets injured and Gradkowski gets to play again. I don't think there is a guy in the NFL more deserving of a shot at starting that Gradkowski is. And last season, he absolutely outperformed Campbell. I feel bad for Bruce; he got shafted this season.

Minnesota at New Orleans- I really like the Saints to make another run this season, but i think the Vikings are out for blood, AP runs wild in this one. Pick- Minnesota Oakland at Tennessee- I like the Titans here at home against Oakland; A close game, but i think Chris Johnson is the difference make in a Titans Win. Pick- Tennessee Carolina at New York (Giants)- I think the Giants are ready to make another Wild Card run, they show that potential in a close home win against the Panthers. Pick-Giants Indianapolis at Houston- Houston has only gotten better, the leagues biggest passing attack last year. Indy is good, but will have a small Superbowl hangover against a very good Texan team. Pick-Houston Denver at Jacksonville - This one is a tough game to pick, i like Denver, but i feel as if Maurice Jones Drew will carry Jacksonville to an early home win. Pick-Jacksonville Atlanta at Pittsburgh - Pittsburgh is in too much of a mess and Atlanta is a good team. Pick-Atlanta Miami at Buffalo- I really like the Dolphins to make a splash this year, very underrated. Bills could pull out a tough division win, but i think the Dolphins offense will be too much. Pick- Miami Detroit at Chicago- Jay Cutler will get along well with Martz pass happy offense. They win big against the lions at home. Pick-Chicago Cincinnati at New England- Both Offenses are great, Cincy has a better defense though. New England is home though, tough pick. Pick-Cincinnati Cleveland at Tampa Bay- Both lower to the pack teams, this is a tough one. Gonna have to go with Cleveland though, I think Jerome Harrison will help the cause for the Browns. Pick- Cleveland San Francisco at Seattle- The 49ers play a weak division rival. They will win to show they will top the low NFC West this year. Pick- San Francisco Green Bay at Philadelphia - The Packers are looking real good this year, and they will walk into Philly and handle them. Pick- Green Bay Arizona at St. Louis- I believe Arizona is a mess right now, and i like the route St. Louis is headed. Steven Jackson and St. Louis at home. Pick- St. Louis Dallas at Washington- Dallas is just too good of a team to go in a lose this one. Pick-Dallas Baltimore at New York (Jets)- Another close game i can see going either way. I like the Jets at home in this one, they are out to prove something. Pick- Jets San Diego at Kansas City- Although the Chiefs improved, the Chargers will just be too much for them to handle. Pick- San Diego Those are my predictions, what do you guys think?

Question that needs an answer asap: I need a kicker but I have to drop someone off that group. Who do a drop?? I was thinking smith... but he could end up seeing the bigger half of the carries. Donald brown isn't gonna get, right?? I need to know for kickoff!

I can't answer that question, but I just noticed that my opponent this week has 2 kickers on his roster. In an 8-team league. (We lost people from last season's 10-team.) Not that I'm objecting to him wasting a spot, but I'm confused.

There's only a couple things I have to say about last night's game. That was fucking ugly, on both sides... it wasn't a good showing from the "two best teams in the NFC." I don't know why in the FUCK Carmillo wasn't in more, but if he isn't in more next week, there's something wrong with Childress. The Saints offense should be ashamed of themselves for not scoring more on a depleted defense. These re not the teams we watched dominate the NFC last season.

Starters: QB: Matt Ryan RB: Jamaal Charles RB: Joseph Addai FLEX: Greg Jennings WR: Andre Johnson WR: Randy Moss TE: Tony Gonzalez DEF: New Orleans K: Garret Hartley Bench: Joe Flacco C.J. Spiller Justin Forsett Michael Bush Lee Evans Sidney Rice Louis Murphey I'm obviously a little loaded at WR (I had last pick in my draft, and if you're not getting the top 3-4 RBs I think it's stronger to draft the top WRs before the middle RBs). I'm trying to move a WR for a good RB, but that won't help me this weekend. I'm wondering what to do at the two RB spots, specifically if I start Spiller over either Addai or Charles (probably Addai). Also, do you guys agree with starting Ryan over Flacco? I think Flacco will have a really good year on the whole, but his WRs are largely new to the team and he's against the Jets. Thoughts on the team as a whole? I am quite happy with what I got from the NO defense, but pretty pissed at Hartley getting me a big fat goose egg.

WR you're stacked, you know that. TE is good, QB might be good (we'll find out). I'd leave the roster as is for now, although the QB is questionable. Matt Ryan is a better QB, but Joe Flacco suddenly has better options. I think you'll come out about even either way, but Pitt definitely has a weaker CB corps, although Polomalu can wreck any passing game. Miami has a decent rushing D, and the Bills have an awful line. I don't think Spiller will do much against it. Beyond that, on a personal level, I hardly ever play rookies week one. I've been burned on it before, but it's so hard to guess what they're going to do without ever seeing any real action from them.
