Note the two Russians going mad at the sight of prism tanks in the SS. | ||

The Dota2 guidelines suggest him as a ganker so lets start with that, but the problem is that Invoker can also carry effectively if the game calls for it. Give him a Deso/AC and he can right click people to death. So Invoker is a ganker who can also carry, kind of like Ursa however the problem there is that Invoker can also support. He can be fairly item independent if the situation requires and hit his major disables (stun, tornado, wave, wall) in teamfights and be useful. So Invoker is a ganking support carry. The closest thing I could suggest here is shadow shaman being played in mid as was popular in Hon for a period. But this definition is still too broad as Invoker is also a great pusher. He can clear waves very easily and with 4Quas/Exort his 2 forge spirits can melt towers. So Invoker is a ganking carry support pusher. But this is still too broad as Invoker can even initiate with a blink and hit his wave/tornado on a group of people. So what we have learnt is that Invoker is a ganking, carry support pusher initiator. Then we realise there aren't actually any roles left in Dota/Dota2. Invoker can do everything in the game and is kind of OP. | ||

I never asked him what the idea behind that unit was but I dont think they thought it through. xD I've played it a few times in LAN mode and I ended up getting chuck norris once very early in the game without even noticing... Trust me, I played competitive RA2 when the Westwood servers were still online and populated, and as Soviet you always need to kill/cripple your Allied opponent before he gets too many prism tanks. In line with what jibba said, not unlike TvP pre-colossus bio pushes. | ||
