I don't really think it takes a shit ton of mats...

I got a SMK on my 3rd try and an Ancient Serpent Sparker on my 5th try.

Neither one was very good, but if you're targeting specific legendaries, this makes it much much much easier.

not sure what you mean by the first sentence, because it is a shit ton of mats to get a good krider. as for the second, the drop rate for krider is 4% i believe; math is math, your experience is anecdotal. it does make targeting specific legendaries easier, but that wasnt what we were discussing.

Oh. I guess I misread the previous discussion. Getting a Krider will be relatively easy, especially compared to now, and then you can use the power with a different bow and be good to go.

I really like the cube for that, opens up a lot of new options and makes it so the "Shit Ya! Awesome Leg I was hunting for... Oh wait. Its not ancient. Salvage " go away. Like, I found a GG Shard of Hate on my Wiz last night. So I cubed my mediocre Serpent Sparker, and had the time of my life using that Shard. Never could have done something like that before.

the cube is a major improvement for more casual players. it remains to be seen whether it opens up any new builds since most people are just using it to improve current builds. personally, i like it a lot.

They said there will be one this week, but we don't know the date yet.

The problem is if you Cube the Krider you make you cant hold on to it and reroll it for better stats. Problem now is there are definitely legendaries you are going to want atleast 2 copies of. 1 to cube and the other to hold on and reroll for better stats. Yes the cube helps for when you get that shit min roll rare leg you've been searching for, but now theres the question of cubing it immediately or trying to reroll it into a usable state.

I just booted up the PTR to try some S4 stuff casually and the community buff is there? Or they turned it back on? Legs droppin like crazy. But no queue time. Fine by me!! Maybe they just reactivated it

Edit: The queues are back Man I'd rather have no buff and no queue lol

Blizzard kind of ruin the hype around D3 by having these long PTR testing periods. With seasons it doesn't even matter if each patch is perfect, they should just release these big patches and fix them up a little as they go.

I kind of agree actually. They use the PTR to work the kinks out and release a clean season (no crazy builds to ruin leaderboards, exploits for leveling when adding new areas/quests/rifts, etc), but a lot players that care about the quality and competitiveness of the seasons will end up playing on the PTR anyway and spoiling the excitement of all the new features when the patch actually drops. I'm slightly guilty, this is the first PTR I've been on in a while, been so long since the last season started and with the new features I couldn't help it.

I just resist the ptr and won't spoil myself. But I am also not really joining the race. But ptr is for people that want to find out about the new stuff and see if it can be broken. And the season is for those that want a fair race. So its good for both. And those real competitive guys would try anything to get their hands on data that helps them. And without the ptr they would probably bribe some devs.

The long PTR periods have been relatively good for the game though. There have been quite a few bugs and exploits along with obvious balance issues that have been fixed on ptr long before they hit live. This last season would have been an absolute shitstorm if some of the things that had been on PTR didn't get fixed before they had hit live.

This last season was kinda bad tho with the Bloodshard goblin bug :p
It ignores such insignificant forces as time, entropy, and death

that may require rollbacks and season wipes if they fix as they go. people bitch when they do it in ptr, what do you think they will do if you do it in seasons?

Better than one of the last bugs on PTR where barbs in 2 man groups were clearing 90+ GRs in under 5 minutes

required 2 players. Find a Bloodshard goblin in the world. 1 opens a Greater Rift and enters. 2nd kills the goblin. Dropped shards receive the GRfit multiplier so people got thousands of shards and gambled for hundreds of items.
Long since fixed obviously.

if its the same thing, that was internal blizzard testing and they forgot to remove it from leaderboards before ptr went live again.
