I already know about seasons, when I'm talking about "ladder" I'm referring to seasons. Pay attention, I'm not saying whether or not season exists. I already KNOW it exists, why the hell would I be talking about greater rifts? I already know that there is a leaderboard to track who has reached the highest greater rift level. Don't f'ing tell me to google "diablo seasons." How much clearer do I need to be: Is there a "quote" - I don't want a link, to where d3 developers say that the main goal of the seasons is NOT on the greater rifts but INSTEAD on whoever reaches "level x" first. | ||

add some more random difficulty elements that target specific builds, like poe's map mods system. design specific levels with different difficulty mods that gets harder and harder, but with set levels that you can plan a party around. throw in some bosses/ubers on random levels for more challenge. this is the ragnarok online endless tower idea. | ||

Nope, not currently. There are no Leaderboards planned at this time that would track Paragon levels (or even total experience gained) within a Season. It was a conscious choice on our end to shift Leaderboards for Seasonal characters away from a pure level grind towards more objective-based (or even skill-based) goals like Greater Rifts, Seasonal achievement points, and Conquests. Standard caveat: This is all according to current design. There wasn't any need to ask if "I've been living under a rock," or posting a "lmgtfy link" when there actually isn't going to be a levelling based ladder. there is a leveling based ladder. its just not based on paragon level. my recollection is that there will be numerous ladders: - fastest solo GR clear time (global and class specific) - fastest group GR clear time - most achievements points - most season based quest clears (i forgot the exact name) the first two are much better than tracking p-lvls as they require some modicum of skill where plvl is a grind. nevertheless, the first two ladders will show who is at the top of plvl because you need grind for the items necessary to advance in GR, including the plvl related skills. oh, and i think there are ladders separate for seasonal/non-seasonal play, softcore/hardcore play. this, of course, assumes nobody uses exploits to break the ladder. | ||
