You need to work a little on your comprehension. I never said you could only T6 as pet WD if you have Zuni's. I said Zuni's provides the most fetishes and help deal the most overall damage. With Zuni's Marrow, you have the potential of an additional 15% dmg to fetishes and that's a lot better than the Aughild armor he's running. Because his fetishes die (and the max that he can have at a time is eight), he's reliant on Crimson 3p bonus, Tribal Rites, and ofc Starmetal. You could argue that the CDR in his build helps with his Wrathful Protector build but I'd just counter that he's diluting his damage by going both physical and fire. My point remains that if you're going for the maximally efficient pet WD build, you'd want Zuni 4p bonus, go pure Physical (no mix of fire) and add in Sycophants over Tribal Rites. Edit: Also, if you look at his build (and video), the guy has no primary attack and completely reliant on his pets for DPS. His left and right clicks are cast-and-go spells. So in that case, why wouldn't he run Hexing Pants? It'd be the biggest DPS bump he could get but he can't because pant slot crashes with the Crimson pants he needs for the cooldown. | ||

but some people want to play higher torment despite it not being efficient, and that's where the main complain group comes from. being able to do t6 efficiently is like a godhood reward for the most dedicated players. i don't think it's a reasonable expectation to be able to get that build. it's ok if you look at the drop rate and have no expectations going into iit | ||

That is just not true. Starmetal + T&T allow you to have perma FA up anyway. In that case Zuni 4pc is just a waste because there are other BiS options especially for ring+mojo, namely SoJ and USerpent, both a huge boost to DPS and toughness. You still go pure Physical and add Syco, that much is true, but has nothing to do with 4pc Zuni. Source: myself, running 4pc Zuni and crying my heart out for a Starmetal to push for T6 in Hardcore. | ||

Naturally, you should be running Armor, Boots, Mojo. If you're HC, then I definitely see the merits of Serpent. But for those of us in scrubcore, Serpent is far from mandatory. Not to mention you have the flexibility for another crowd controlling spell like Grasp if you opt not to run Dogs. I fail to see significantly better items for Armor and Boots slots. Can't think of an armor better than Marrow. You could possibly wear Ice Climbers instead of Trail. Mojo is the obvious exception. Something like String of Skulls might fall short compared to Thing of the Deep again I'd take Zuni 4p bonus over TotD's abilities. | ||
