for a casual player like me i'm really liking this new diablo 3. hated vanilla diablo 3, thought it was a steaming pile of garbage, and stopped playing it along with everyone else i knew, but this one is a lot of fun. too bad everyone else has already quit long ago. OH WELL. i see there are still people complaining, but this is a huge step in the right direction. confidence in blizzard RESTORED. you can see the drastic improvements once jay wilson got fired | ||

Catch me up. I finished the story and leveled to 70 on my DH. I've just been running bounties on normal trying to stockpile shards and caches. Is this what I should be doing? Should I try to leach some rifts on T1? My gear isn't awesome yet I'm around 350k DPS and 500k toughness. | ||

If you can do T1 quickly and safely you might aswell do that since you can get Torment Only Legendary drops. Otherwise your better off doing normal for loot until you can do T1. | ||

I'm in a similar situation and started running expert for double shards after getting around 300k dps, without trouble. Everything dies fast enough, including elites. In addition I found a lot more mats, especially Death's Breaths, on expert than I did on normal. Gold is also going up very fast, and I'm getting paragons fast enough I often don't even assign one point before I level again. | ||

Normal might be the fastest but it's also no fun. | ||

My wizard has 12mil toughness (560k HP and a ton of resists) and still has to be careful around certain elites. (mostly Hordes with just the wrong combo of suffixes like Mortar or Arcane) I went through Expert first after I hit 70 (killed Malthael on that, him and The Ram were impossible on anything higher), then climbed to Master and eventually Torment after I noticed I was killing Master trash pretty quickly. My wizard deals around 450k DPS with some % bonus and trash mobs die reasonably fast and elites vary. Some are really easy but there are a few around that can still put on the hurt quite fast. Some of the new Act V monsters (Winged Assassins and Enraged Phantasms stand out for me) are absolutely lethal with the wrong suffixes. | ||

Either way with 5 mill you will be absolutely fine on T1, with 350k dps it might be a tad slow though (do you run Steady Aim?thats 20% extra sheet dps that you won''t alwys have) | ||
