All the balance changes, loot remodels, xp bonuses, etc along with the repetitive grinding, just makes this feel like any other casual game (ie. Clash of clans). I.e. great waste of time until you start asking yourself the question why you're doing this. Nothing is guaranteed in the future of the game. The 7k probably didn't mean much to this guy, but the idea of it all still puts me off. This doesn't make any sense. So the people who simply dumbed cash into the game no longer have an advantage, and you now have to work for your gear in game, instead of going to work and then paying for the gear with money. So this means the game is now casual?
I guess you are a guy who spends real money on gear instead of playing the game

I tried out the changes a week ago and i liked them. The no AH is just great for me, and the games feels better regarding loot (i was even getting upgrades!). So i decided to give it another opportunity and get the expansion to play crusader.
Just one question regarding difficulties, i toyed around with playing hard with the crusader, and it was fine, the only problem is that i was too slow to complete some events. I think i should just switch the difficulty when i spot them, but well. my question is regarding loot. Is loot better the harder the difficulty ? Or just xp and gold?

@aseq: Well, the game belongs to Blizzard. They can do whatever they like. And if they cut the damage of every weapon in half, we still can't do anything against that. Furthermore, D3 is an ARPG, which is a genre centered around numbers getting bigger. You're collecting digital stuff that increases your numbers. Yes, it's that retarded. And it's fun, because humans like collecting stuff, especially if there's no real use to it. Other than some competitive games, the sole reason to play D3 is to increase numbers and have fun while doing so. End of story.
@Godwrath: Below Torment, the only differences in regards to the rewards are gold and XP. On T1 and higher, you'll get a chance to find special legendaries. Their drop chance also increases with every torment level. The "kill x waves in y time" events are easy to complete, if your AoE damage is high enough. So if you're struggling to kill all monsters before the timer runs out, you might be playing on the wrong level. You also could try to reassign some skills to get more AoE.

The torment levels give a slightly higher magic find bonus for each level. Difficulty levels below torment is just an xp and gold bonus I believe. Pre-60 you have to balance how fast you can kill vs how much extra xp you are getting for a higher difficulty.

Yeah more probably, i just started, so i didn't have AoEs. I think the xp right now is not worth it, since it takes double the time to clear things. Thanks for the answers guys.

act V was a little underwhelming for me. didnt seem to have much originality in monsters, quests, etc. and not enough new movies. also, was able to beat it on torment 1 with primarily my wizard and level 60 gear.
looking forward to trying the new adventure mode and a crusader though.

i enjoyed Act 5, you could tell they were trying hard to make it exciting, I think we had 5 events in the first little area. I basically speed cleared it and ignored the story and all the cinematics. I also thought the boss fights were a bit more dynamic and challenging, they at least required you to pay some attention. The only major complaint I have is + Show Spoiler +that there are no CGI cinematics. Whatever criticisms I've levied at blizzard over the years, they've always been the best in CGI.

+ Show Spoiler +The way the last movie was focused on the hero, they probably didnt want to make 12 3D versions.

the sidequests in act v were fulfilling though. i actually liked those. the boss fights were okay. i did like that skill played more of a part in whether you can beat it rather than facetanking although when i gear up i wonder if i will just be able to facetank everything.

I'm sure you will eventually, such is life in ARPG, but I think it's going to take a long time for anyone to clear act5 on torment 6 hardcore. Unless of course people find a way to break the game with bugs/exploits. Hell even t6 softcore is likely going to take some time to do efficiently.

That ending cinematic makes the hero out to be basically the most powerful entity in existence now lol.

It's been hinted at that the final boss in the next expansion/D4 is Haedrig. Imagine that you craft 50 gauntlets for some guy and then he immediately wants you to salvage them all once you're done then make another 50.
Now imagine that happening for years on end.
