I have the Hallowed Defender set and Demon armor (the one with fire res+) set at my Blacksmith and I'm a bit short on Fiery Brimstones to create them all. My highest DPS char is my Wizard with 142k DPS so I'm not sure if Torment or Normal would be better. Or would Expert/Master be a faster mid-way point? core of arreat runs are considered the fastest way to get legends. the rule of thumb now is the higher torment you can go the best, but most high level streamers do it at torment 3. i think normal is a waste of time.

Is there a "good" character that most people have decided to play/is a good character to gear farm with now? Like how in D2 they had the Sorceress as the first character most people usually made because of her ease of use, farming quickness, and high dps. Also in that game, all characters had a chance to be awesome, but you generally saw less characters like druids, assassins, and (maybe) amazons than the others. Do people usually see one character being less useful than the others in D3?

I got like a level 40 something demon hunter if I remember left on my account from before I quit but I was wondering about the other characters. But I don't think its anywhere near as big a gap as it was in D2.

I've spent some time with all 5 in the last weeks and wizard has felt strongest and barb seems fucking abysmal.

I think Barbs got nerfed pretty hard, but they still seem pretty competent compared to other classes. At least they aren't bad enough that every Barb is rerolling. Still not seeing a lot of Witch Docs or Monks (other than myself) for probably the same reason (although Monks definitely play *much* slower than before dps wise, movement has been much improved at least).

if you're doing group, i think two wiz/DH plus a pull monk and hota barb is a damn good group.

For example, a level 60 Nailbiter found in Normal has the exact same potential as a level 60 Nailbiter found in Torment VI. The Drop Chance of a Legendary Item Normal through Master receive bonuses to experience and gold, but no bonus to the drop chance for a Legendary item. There is a bonus to the drop chance for a Legendary item starting at Torment I difficulty, and this bonus increases with difficulty. For example, Torment VI has a greater bonus to the chance a Legendary item drops than Torment I does. There are certain Legendary items that only drop in Torment I - VI. http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/12091349617?page=5#89

generally speaking, frozen orb or arcane torment. I have gear sets for both builds and while arcane torment is probably more fun, my frozen orb build is much easier to play and probably more efficient for farming.

I started a wizard in hardcore in Hard and all I get are int and vit items. Only played a couple of hours and got 4-5 legendaries. . They really buffed the drop rate^^

Rumsford Gate is a pretty good farming run if you want something different from core runs: The wretched mother's have a very high chance of dropping loot, there are several possible purple mobs, and you get quest xp, and if you want to skip elites on higher difficulties to make runs faster, they are easy to avoid.

I'm playing a meteor swarm build because I got cindercoat, magefist and the legendary bracers I got rolled with +fire damage%. I've been trying to farm something to get a frozen orb build but so far have been unlucky with drops.

I actually think the meteor/fire build I was doing was the most fun out of the arcane/frozen builds, it just didn't seem as practical or efficient. You can do a ton of DPS with fire builds though, it's pretty dang fun. Frozen Orb is just so mindlessly easy and safe so when I get lazy I always go back lol.

The delay and the randomness of the meteor swarm promotes moving up to a higher torment level compared to a frozen orb build. Frozen orb looks efficient at lower torment levels since I can just run and spray the whole screen. Meteor swarm makes me have to stand in place and kinda tank some mobs while waiting for the meteors to land. Cindercoat's -25% casting cost for fire spells helps with the spam.

You could've just bought a legacy stormcrow as well. The orb procs are good and life on hit streams well. +10 arcane power on crit.
