Main reason I don't like that change is because it just widens the paragon level gulf between people with good gear and people with average or below. I can get 1-1.5b an hour running cath4 and cota. An average person running Mira might get 500m, where questing/farming would be like 2-300m.

Ok. So what is the best route to farm items right now?

But farming Mira the person will never get the gear to be able to run higher torments for the 1b exp/hour and will just be stuck at 500m.

Maybe I'll post here instead because I keep getting locked out. 1) Blizzard keeps locking me out when I sign into their forums due to 'suspicious activity' So I change password, do the email verifications, try to sign in again and then it locks me again. I suspect this is because we just moved to another location? How do I break the cycle of lockouts?
2) The reason I wanted to sign in was to post on their forum about the massive hog diablo 3 has become and what I can delete to free up space. They say it'll take up 12 gb of space and so if it was a couple over, I wouldn't be too put out. But it's currently sitting at 34.7GB. Internally Diablo III folder 17.3 GB,
Data_D3 11.6GB, (Cache 3.87GB, everything else mpq's)
and Updates 5.61GB
What's going on or is Diablo 3 just a hog?

i had to uninstall SC2 and HS to install D3 patch on my SSD. however, after i installed all the updates and such, i had 30gigs (approx) left over on my SSD (i think i started with around 10 gigs free).
its very annoying that i couldnt download the patch to my E:\ to update d3 on my C:\.
i can check how big it is when i get home if you want, but obviously you download something and then after the install it deletes it all.

My Updates folder is only about 30MB, and Data_D3 is about 14GB.

What's going on or is Diablo 3 just a hog? 1. You need to phone blizzard at that point. Should take about 15 minutes. 2. Not sure.

If by boosting you mean leveling up a low level character, the best way is to give them an act 3 quest, have the low character make a game in act 3, and have the higher level character blow through torment 6. On softcore that should be level 60 in under an hour easy.
If you mean quickly leveling paragons, the new best thing is crypt of the ancients runs in act 1.

Ya, forgot to specify. I meant 1-60 boosting. Thanks for the answer.

so whats the most efficient runs now, cata 4 + cota? also around what stats should you be at to be able to handle the torment levels? Im currently at 190k dps and 1m ehp as a barb, and it feels like I clear extremely slowly on anything higher than torment 2, and cant handle torment 5+ at all. also how are people averaging 1b exp per hour, Ill be lucky to get 200m an hour, if that.

I think it's because you just rely on big cooldowns (archon/wotb) to clear the crap mobs (you generally skip the elite) and reset almost instantly. Even my super under geared characters can do this on torment 6 relying on big cooldowns. Also, as you said there is like ~20% chance of a pool and each run is ~1-2 minutes max.

If you have the checkpoint right there at the entrance it's an easy under 2 minute run with pretty good density. I run it on T3 cause I kill the elite too and it's about 450-500mil xp an hour without pools.

For wizards you can do it on T4-T6 depending on your gear, run through mobs to group them and then archon, nuke skeletons for stacks, and then burn the elite with the last 3-5 seconds of archon with 40+stacks. Takes about a minute per run.
I'm at around 800m-1b an hour doing that, but it's terribly boring and repetitive. Chances are you could do it with a group fairly easily.
The role of melee's on higher torment levels seems to just be tanky and deal good amounts of damage, but primarily it's just for meatshielding.

This guy is one of the highest plvl in the world on barb, and he's running cota with short cd's and massive AoE.

Are you guys getting legendaries doing cota runs? Like as many as you would by playing through?

In solo from personal experience I'd say less, but I have gotten some, maybe 1 per hour and a half kind of rate. But again, that's just me so other people may have gotten more or less from rng.

Blizzard took crit dmg and lifesteal away as searchable on the AH because no non-legendary items can drop with them anymore. Like they hate those stats so much they don't even want you to find old versions on the AH, it's really ridiculous.
