Yeah it is pretty sick.

Wow thats huge news. Unexpected too. I wonder what effect it will have on the market.

Ya, I was not expecting that at all. I'm surprised they're removing the RMAH too; I guess leaving only that would enhance the perception that D3 is P2W.
I'm kinda curious how they plan to keep money post-game sales, I've always been interested watching them craft different business models into their different franchises.
I also wonder how much the console version influenced this decision, as in sales and player engagement (can they measure that on console?), not just user feedback.

So there will be normal trading? I foresee lots of forums for trading ingame items, and people trying tricks to scam you with it, like in D2. Would be ideal if they could limit this too (e.g. you can only trade with people you've had in your friends list > 1 week), otherwise it'll just be the unofficial AH.

So I was thinking back to WoW days, and remember when those 2% crit trinkets were still BiS after several tiers? I'm pretty sure a combat ratings system will be implimented before the next expansion. Folks are pushing 100% crit, and with the new paragon and expect item inflation, it would only make sense.
From WoW:

So in D3 terms: 10% crit = 140 critical hit rating = 6.34% crit at level 70 9% ias = 90 haste rating = 5.71% haste at level 70
Pretty much everything %-age based is terrible for scaling, so crit hit damage should get the rating fix as well. As annoying as it is to figure out.

I really hope they dont implement ratings I always found them anoying in wow

They are probably going to put a cap on crit% or rework it so it's not everyone maxing it on every build.

As annoying as it is to figure out. They implemented that because of level scaling. 2% at 60 is the same as 2% at 70, so in order to have better gear at 70 it would have to be somehow greater than 2% crit. This would've quickly spiraled out of control in WoW. I mean WoW is on tier.... 16 now? The same issue wont happen with Diablo because there aren't item tiers

Is there some kind of AH bot that force the 0 bid error? Right now there are plenty of IK chests on EU SC with this error and all of them have over 200 vit. As i was just trying to get one, i noticed that another one with 0 bid changed just 2 secs before it ended to 4667 gold. I tried to bid on it but it was already not available anymore, but it was suddenly possible, the error message didn´t show up as it usually does with this error. Does anybody know anything about this?
Edit: Ok, i´m pretty sure it´s some kind of hack or exploit. One day later and `strangely` still only high vit chests have this bug. Take a look for yourself, there are dozens of them.

You have already proved a deeper understanding of D3 than I think Jay Wilson ever had.
