its actually very easy and straightforward: many players spent hundreds or even thousands of hours to increase their e-penis damage to 400k inches dps.
a) they dont like the idea of console gamers achieving the same extend (no pun intended) of e-penis with a fraction of the effort and b) they fear that the "bigger numbers"-change makes it to the pc version as well, which would pretty much invalidate all their existing items.
imho, part b) is a valid concern that i share. on top of fucking up everyone who invested time or money into items, the bigger numbers would also make the game much easier unless additional content or mps are introduced as well. which would be a bad thing since pretty much any highend char is already facerolling mp10 and almost all guys that are playing frequently can handle at least mp5-6; even if they are clueless about the game and/or have crappy gear.

Well on behalf of console gamers everywhere I hereby acknowledge my D3 Epeen is insignificant compared to that of the Epeens extended by the pc master race.

Got a question about best in slot items right now..
Shoulders->Crafted? Bracers->Crafted? gloves->Crafted? Amulet->Crafted?
From what I've seen it looks like a well rolled item cant really compete with something that drops. Also it makes me a little sad that what we're doing is just getting essences to craft :/

I think only crafted shoulders are best in slot. Go to diabloprogress and look at the players with the highest gearscore to get a general idea for it.

Crafted items with perfect rolls are all BiS (up to 130 main stat more than standard items) unless you need something specific, like Lacuni bracers.

My fiancée got a legendary bow for her DH on one of the drops in act I. I never played D3 on PC but I have played millions of hours on D2 so I know a good diablo game when I see it. The Console UI is incredibly slick and easy to move around. Its probably not as simple/robust as the pc version but theres really no problems with the UI on 360 that I have noticed so far. theres a little bit of confusion with things like upgrades on stash space upgrade being hard to figure out first time and selecting hardcore characters is hard to figure out the first time also but as far as combat/controls go the UI is smooth and feels good.
And I pumped the Difficulty up to master 5 wich is MP10 on pc version from what I understand and got pretty much 1 shot by every mob at start so I cant possibly imagine the PC version being more difficult without just being broken.
everyone enjoyed their normal playthrough. most enjoyed their nightmare playthrough some enjoyed hell . . . . a few played inferno...
I stopped mid nightmare^^ but until then it was a nice game, and if it wasn't published by blizzard and not called diablo3 no one would complain.

For barbs, vit shoulders provide incredible EHP over anything that can drop, with the same strength limit as always. For the other classes, you're looking for something like vilewards which can have up to 5 useful affixes, but the crafted can have a 6th useful one in lieu of regen.
Crafted bracers provide huge stat gains over lacuni/bought bracers. However, its use depends on where you get your movespeed and attack speed from. An expensive but more powerful alternative is to use high rolled lacuni with a double mainstat depth diggers, but this is much more expensive for only a small increase in stats over crafted bracers and Inna's. Some classes need both lacuni and Inna's for hitting attack speed breakpoints.
For gloves and amulets, you're looking for so much more in terms of stats here that it's a bit harder to craft a BiS item. For amulets, it's more worthwhile because it's hard to roll a high mainstat on looted amulet, but gloves naturally roll high dex/int and for barbs, IK trifecta gloves are only beaten by better rolled trifecta + AR crafted gloves.

Also crafted chest armors are BiS except for WD/CM but the chances of that happening is probably less than crafting a trifecta amulet (which is about 1 in 2000). I have crafted tons of amulets and still never gotten any that beats my Tal Rasha's or self found rare dex dualfecta. Right now I'm not even bothering anymore, saving all DEs for the expansion instead, got over 500 stashed.

Unless they do it differently than all their other patches, un-ID'd items already have their stats determined, so DE'ing them now or later won't make a difference.

I don't get your post, doesn't DE stand for Demonic Essence? What does saving DEs for the expansion have to do with identifying items? O.o

Haha oh no. My WoW days are showing. for some reason I read DE as disenchant.

I only crafted shit on all my tries, so started saving DE's, have 1000 now. Did Blizz say they will be useful in the expansion? Traditionally crafting reagents from lower levels arent used when expansions come, are they? (My memory might be incorrect.)

Agreed, they are a great way to make ppl play the game.
I have thrown so many DEs into ammys, and not a single trifecta. not even a badly rolled trifecta with bad other mods, but nothing at all. Pretty sure I have spent more on crafting ammys than the 50M I spent on the trifecta I bought.

Somehow most of my items will have the most useless attributes in various combinations. The whole day today thorns, health globe, pickup radius, gold find, magic find and the random single resistance.

I assume you will be able to upgrade DEs to higher level mats just like with all the other current Inferno mats. Of course I could be wrong but I'm not losing anything on keeping them anyway.

So after being bored of doing the same Inferno runs i've decided to do something different and farm Leoric's signet. After ~30 runs i've dropped a legendary ring. Turns out Rakanishu drops Manald's, FUUUUUUUUUU
|
You'll probably hate me but I was building my monk to do tempest rush leorica farming and I got a ring drop while checking if I had enough spirit regen to sustain TR. Ezmoney baby.

Some dickward tried to scam my friend.
He has found an almost BiS Inna's chest piece.
He told the guy to go fuck himself. Stupid idiots ruining non AH-trading. Good thing he didn't succeed in it
