- Inferno is nerfed a lot. ezpz now. - Items buffed. specially uniques that are BiS in most slots now, and jewelry that got max values for some important mods upped. - prices always go down as usual: you will be able to get much better gear for cheap. - monster power: essentially same as "/players 8" in d2. You can control how strong the mosters are, and you get a little more XP, GF and MF for the trouble. Almost always best to farm at the lower (often even lowest) MP, though. - Infernal machine: you can collect keys (from keywardens) to build a machine that takes you to a special event (ubers) that may give you pieces that you can make a ring out of. You need higher MP to find the keys and pieces, so need a strong guy for this. Defenitely worth anorther try imo.

I can't say enough good things about d3up.com and the analyzing tool to go with it from d3bit.com. I just downloaded d3bit and was using it on the AH... messing around found a cheap amulet that took my WW Barb from 54k to 62k paperdoll DPS. It eliminates all the guesswork from buying upgrades off the ah.

In the first weeks after 1.0.5 hit, i did 16 Ubers in a row on MP 5 (few MP6) without a single organ drop. Boy, can you imagine the rage? ![]()

Can anyone clue me in on the biggest "changes" since then, and is it worth playing? I have an 80 Barb (full tank, still failed act3) and 80 DH which can farm act3 pre-paragon patch. It is slightly less repititive. Instead of doing Act 3 over and over, you'll do Act 3 over and over while sometimes meandering through Act 1 and 2 to get keys.

Drop rate for legendaries buffed, introduction of Monster Power setting, skill changes (DH got nice survivability boost with perfectionnist). But yeah main thing would be Paragon lvl's coupled with monster power giving you a bigger challenge and better loots ![]() Oh yeah and doing act 1 or 2 on mp 1 or higher gives you same loots (63 rolls on items) as act 3 and 4. So even though everybody still farms act 3 because its the most "efficient", if you just want to have FUN well you can really do all acts and get nice loots. Oh yeah almost forgot infernal machine with Uber Bosses and a nice ring ![]()

Because finding people to do hellfire farming isn't going to get easier as people quit/take a break/etc. Or maybe sell the rings for a price....and once the number of rings sold reaches a number.....uber diablo spawns! Only problem is....what would uber diablo give you? Seeing as they are opposed to charms....

Economy looks completely nuked. i actually like the way the economy is at the moment. the AH is flooded with items, so low to mid end items are cheap. you can beat the entire game easily with less than 500,000. now, if you want to perfect your character, all the high end items are expensive, but gradually getting cheaper as more are found/bought. its where it should be. i say this even though i cant afford anything, lol.

I'll probably invest all of that into my 60 barbarian, and start playing after tomorrow see how it goes. Or I can give you a hand if you want dAPhREak. thanks. i actually have around 70M. i meant i cant afford anything that would be an upgrade or BIS. i am saving up 100M before i even look for something as an upgrade. you'll find out really fast that you can make a pretty amazing character without a lot of money. which is great for new (or returning) players.

The difference between now and early days of D3 is that the mid to upper-mid quality items are accessible to pretty much anyone if you put in even a casual amount of time, so that it's possible to play around with nearly any build you want to and have fun with it. GG items are still expensive, >>100m, but if that weren't so what would we shoot for other than 100 paragon levels. I've only put in ~50 hrs in 1.05, and my overall gold worth has gone from 50m to probably 10x that, and I'm getting "free" HotS. Farming A1 or A2 pre 1.05 had almost a zero rate of return for me, but now it is possible to progress in a reasonable amount of time to a place where you feel that your toon is "good," but there is still clearly a huge gap between players like myself and those who are wearing items worth >2b each. D3 is still D3, but upward mobility is now much more attainable.

Same here, plus I like that I am quite easily at a level where there is worthwhile content I can clear very fast (0-1 MP runs), but other content that is challenging while still being rewarding (ubers, high MP key farming, etc.).

After I beat Diablo 3; I played on a pretty tight budget and very slowly bumped my toon up to where I could slowly farm A3 pre-patch. Then the MP / Uber patch came out and I had a new goal; climbing the monster levels. Was at MP 2/3 when patch hit; now I'm at MP 7 (for A1 and 3, for some reason A2 snake guys own me hard on MP 6...). Climbing MP levels wasn't just cheaper it was more gradual too. Also made farming easier; as I could always find a level where I wasn't constantly dying and still getting decent drops. Unlike before where it was A3 or bust. Unfortunately, I'm at the point where upgrades have a tangible real money cost to them (reinforced by my finally finding something I could sell on the RMAH). So my motivation to improve has gone down again (that and WoW...).
