The hell is this? Maybe people don't like SC2 because it's not that great of a game right now? That just might be it and it has nothing to do with being casual. I played WoW EXTREMELY hardcore (Im saying crazy 6-8 hours a day..no not proud of it -.-) and as of right now I still would prefer D3 over SC2 simply because while SC2 is good...it's nothing ground breaking and I had always been more addicted to D2 over SC back when I played both an insane amount. Something about D2 just hooked me, the item hunting, the different characters, the skill tree. I just plain liked the game, a lot. You can play the diablo series pretty hardcore lol. I think everyone were doing their best to pretend that the post wasn't made. Just look the other way, don't make eye contact and whatever you do, don't show him your teeth. Actually Jayme has a valid point. Diablo might appear to be a more casual game than something like Starcraft, but that doesn't mean they don't have a big hardcore gamer base. I went through a D2 phase where I would play the game hours on end too. Many of my friends were able to pay their way through college by setting up stores to sell items. They asked me if I wanted to join in, but I was never in it for the profit. There are plenty of TL posters who played Diablo a lot more than Starcraft including some of the mods. Beyonder being one of them. That doesn't mean we don't love Starcraft too.

Instead of posting a new topic, this deserves to be brought back. Finally the last class was announced earlier today, as well a PvP system which in-turn means that Blizzard may want this to become a like another WoW-Arena. Hopefully we'll get some sort of glimmer towards a release date over the weekend!

I'm so glad that they're implementing a full PvP arena system. It was fun to beat on other plays in D2 but this is on another level. This arena actually reminds me a lot of bloodline champions...however I'm sure it will be a LOT better.
We all knew the last class had to be a bow class, but I'm glad they made it a little more than that. I wonder what the background is for the class. Like where it came from and what's up with the eyes n shit

Seems they are pretty threatened by BLC, hence the early introduction to a VERY unfinished Diablo 3v3 (they usually wait much longer with announcements like these) and also of course by DOTA 2, hence the Blizz-made DOTA mod.
Interesting! 3v3 with no healing (i suppose there'll be no healing!) will be interesting, i also wonder how they're gonna handle the fact that potions probably won't be allowed, regenerative health once you're "resting" (immobile?) perhaps?

DH will be my first class. I just don't care anymore D: it is all I need. A amazon/assassin hybrid was my dream.
In D2 LoD I played assa almost exclusively. To me it was the funnest class, glad they recycled it.

Adding new pvp features means they're threatened by a game most people have never heard of? Same with dota...
Anyways I'm definitely going to play a demon hunter first, they look amazing.

If they want to make D3 a PvP based game, or even an eSport, i hope they balance things for PvP first, then scale monsters accordingly, not the otherway around... because it just breaks things.

Im sure blizz is "threatened" by a game with a tiny playerbase...
More likely they do what blizz does and takes good ideas and puts them in a polished game.

DotA doesn't have a tiny playerbase at all. Many people who play HoN/LoL are going to check out DotA 2 when it comes out so...
