I forget what the exact changes were and when they were implemented, but I do remember how much more challenging one or two patches made the game | ||

To be honest I recall Duriel and undoing his seals to be much more dangerous. my gear is quite ok i think. mostly rares and even 2 uniques. its either my spec or my level. i cant remember what lvl was appropriate for diablo. is 26 too low? ofc i try to avoid the lightning attack, but there's no way to know when he casts it and even if i run out of it asap i lose more than 50% of hp. my mercenary dies instantly btw. as far as i can remember that wasn't the case either in the past. | ||

I forget what the exact changes were and when they were implemented, but I do remember how much more challenging one or two patches made the game Over the course of several patches they gave all the monsters in Hell difficulty resistances, they also beefed up most monsters in Nightmare/Hell in general, made champion mobs better by increasing their stats by two times, gave Unique mobs the ability to spawn more than one random bonus in Nightmare/hell, and likely the biggest change was the overhaul of the entire skill system which involved nerfing every skill and adding the synergie system (which with enough points often made skills as good, or perhaps slightly better depending on the skill, as they once were stand alone) in order to stop crazy ridiculous builds like Sorcs with Chain-lightning, Blizzard, and Meteor all maxxed from basically walking over the game. | ||

Haha are you serious? I remember one time my mercenary didn't die instantly and me and my friend were like: "FUCK, IT'S A MIRACLE." It was literally the most WTF thing we ever saw in D2, no rare item drop, NOTHING, even came close. | ||

Personally, the most WTF moment I ever had was seeing two SoJ's drop in the same game (and splitting em with my buddy) maybe two minutes apart. In the many hours I've played that game, I only looted five of those suckers personally... RNG is a funny beast. What kind of build are you going for? I only ever really remember being frustrated with Chaos solo on a Barbarian... mostly because WW was not only the most fun and the coolest, but aside from those IM infested halls the best too. I'm sure many an HC player can tell you first hand how many Barbarians they lost in that place "being careful" with their whirlwinds. X.X I dunno, worst comes to worst just use a ton of town portals. | ||

If you play self found and haven't played the game in a while you are going to have a LOT of fun with souls and dolls @ hell, especially if you play hardcore. Stupid fucking dolls. | ||
