I've played through normal and nightmare with a friend but once we hit hell it got pretty annoying. We tried a lot of different builds to complent each other but in the end it was just so much easier to play alone. If there is an exp or loot advantage for multiplayer it doesnt come to fruition because killing groups of monsers and bosses takes a disproportionate amount of time Also even the lowlife mobs deal an enormous amount of damage and basically two-shot while in singleplayer you can easily tank a few hits without having to worry.
I really don't like the balance of this game. What's the purpose of this? They just made everything people did in D2 useless? Partyplay is ineffective, act bosses and quest bosses drop the crappiest items... what else?
If you have a good group contain someone can tank and 2 high dps you will drop mobs faster and some of you can change to magic find gear when the boss is done thus better loot. A DH and a WZ can out put much much more DPS if you allow them to stand still plus its fun if you play with your friend. I avoid public games like a plague。 The average magic find of the party is taken, so even if someone had 100% it would only be 25% for the party. I agree of course that its more fun to play with friends and that's why i find it ridiculous that party play is so much harder than solo play. Seriously, solo hell has been a cakewalk in comparison to party play. Bosses die a lot faster and nobody can "really" tank anyways. is that true??? yes

you get slightly more xp as a group you get MUCH better loot as you can have up to 4 chances to get a relevant item per kill, rather than rng strength drops for your mage against mobs you cant just blow up in 1 second, 4 player groups are much stronger because less of your total dps is diverted into cc, as a solo spec for mage or WD for example 2-3 skills might be for control, in a proper group 1 would be meaning you can deal more dps. its more fun

Idk, I've typically noticed a lot better drops (per individual) when in a group as opposed to soloing.

Yeah, the ability to trade around items to everyone is a huge boost. Been going HC with two mates, Barb Monk WD, and it basically ups the chance of finding decent items THAT SUIT YOU alot.

Being in a group has absolutely no influence on item drop. It was designed this way quite a whiles back. It may 'seem' that way, but unfortunately, that is not the case. Now, Mf is balanced through the group, so if you did not have a lot of Mf, then the average may actually be more than what you had previously. So, in such instances, you may actually be benefitting from the group. Alas, it depends on the group though so do not expect a lot if ever pugging.

Actually I prefer your equiped weapon much more. Such a let down for a lv 55 Legendary, vendor worthy but the MF save it

having more fun playing with your friends? also all of them get their loot drops, so theres more chance they might luck into something that you need. unless you mean playing in pugs, which is never advantageous in any game ever.

is there anyway for DH to survive past A2 inferno? I have 400k+ dmg and my armor is crap, they just 1 shot me to death.

um i just relised something.
is it possible that the reason everyone gets 1 shotted so much from act 2 onwards is because the enemys are over level 60?
armor and resist only effects lvl 60 and below.... im not sure i might just be seeing things but now im tempted to test damage values and armor 0.0

If it's anything like the average RPG, you get less benefits against higher level enemies, and possibly more against lower. Hence why they all say "against a level 60 enemy". So while you shouldn't be getting zero effect, you need more for the same effect the higher level the enemy is.
With the level upping based on act, that's why people are running into a gear related brick wall at the start of the acts, instead of a clean transition.

yeah that would sound about right. im just finding excuses to try and play... im actually over getting 1 shotted by fucking lacuni thingys.
i dont have uber gear. only at 11k dps 38k hp 5.5k armor 400 resist in all rocking 40-50% dodge 20% block as a monk,,,but i dont feel like that i need SO MUCH BETTER gear just to fight white mobs....
silly needing act 3-4 gear to play act 2. have to keep fueling the pockets of those who rolled DH and Wiz first up and got lucky their classes were bugged just so i can have gear to survive,,,,
and about customization YUCK... blizzard took out stat points so we wouldn't be pigeon holing into certain stats (vit pumping from d2 dex for block rest str for gear) but then they make the game so we NEEED to stack vit primary stat and resist to play inferno..... WHAT WAS THE POINT.
ARGH overall i actually just want to rage at this game....but i will stick it out. there is no way that blizzard EVEN WITH activision gaping their backside wide open will let this game fade away. eventually someone will stand up and say "fuck it this i didnt join this company to produce this time for change"...well i can only hope.
situations like this make me want to become a game developer, make me want to change my degree get the credentials then go to a company and say "hi im not a retard i know what makes a good game and i wont be pushed around by publishers, hire me and i will make you a giga epic game".
YUCK what turned into a simple reply has turned into rage....sums up d3 really,,,
/surprise rant over.

That looks pretty bad to me, intel + dex? yuck. Mabye you could sell it but I don't think you'll fetch much for it, I don't know why someone would want to buy that.

Don't forget high level, no socket, low DPS despite being a 2h. That's maybe a 55-56 viable weapon, not 59. At 59 you do better to hit 60 and upgrade for real than pay legendary prices for a bad weapon.
