Firebird's seems really strong this season but I'm not sure about the blizzard variation being the best. If your goal is GR70 it's probably very reasonable though.

Tips for someone playing WD for first time this season? I do like that my free set is pet based I believe. Only ever played DH, Leap/Orb Barb, and Sorc.

While I am disappointed this season isn't really that different, I do think playing different classes for the first time will keep me interested.

Day 1 of season 6, DH. 6 hours in (lost 2 hours cause I had a final qq). Got rank 114 on solo DH and something like 140s in 2player even though me and my friend started late. I got lucky and found a Bombardier's very quickly, and I got a dawn and Visage of Gunes while leveling so I'll be able to cube both of those tomorrow after some bounties. Just need Manticore, zoey's belt, convention of the elements, and focus/restraint and I can start the real grind. Paragon 116 and GR 39 cleared, could have gone higher but didn't have the fragments to keep going.

we were able to get lvl 70 in 4 hrs and we got rank 17 in group 4 lol :D

So apparently using a legacy item version of a legendary allows you to use the new version of that legendary as well via the Cube.

I still have a legacy Nilfur's Boast and have yet to get a new one with the higher bonus.
If it's true then that would mean I could get a seriously high Meteor bonus.
Makes me wish I didn't cube that legacy version of Triumvirate I had.

Dunno if it's intentional or not though.

Seems these season starts just keep getting faster and faster. Went straight from hitting 70 to killing Izual in whatever I was wearing into clearing a t4 rift for a key and then clearing t20 grift for full 6 set Del Sere for my wizard. Also, got a Furnace while leveling up (it's okay to hate me for that) so my early season play is pretty much set.

Last season should really have been the same. I killed Kulle right after hitting 70 as well, and GR20 just needed the Keystones.

Might depend on which class you're playing and how good the 2 or 4 piece bonus is.

alk said "i would be happy if the progression was 5% as fast" and i have to say i agree with him. as much as i hated d3 vanilla when torment actually meant something and it was hard to get gear, i think it was much less likely to turn into tedium as fast as it is now. wish they could reach a happy medium of drops and get rid of the free sets.

What would you guys consider the best solo-rift witch doctor build? Currently doing the Carnival with Zunimassas as that was the set given, but I've almost gathered both Jade and Helltooth in decent quality. I also have most of the stuff for an angry chicken build (mh+oh, 3 piece arachyr) but I figure that is mostly for speed-farming?

Looks like Helltooth-Garg is the top WD build for soloing.

Alk would be happy, but all the normal people, you know those that don't play 10h per day, are probably happy to be able to complete builds in a season.

I am around p350 with my akkhans-thornsader and it has been fun. Need to farm a lot more before i switch to LoN though.

This was the first time i did not have to stack critical hit chance and critical damage to kill stuff. I would like to have more builds like these in the game.

Haven't power leveled anyone before but I should have some time available (might play some Heroes in the evening).
My Wizard runs through Torment X easily but I haven't gotten beyond GR 55+ yet so I'm hardly a pro.

I played 'two days' and I'm level 51. It's almost like people play the game at different rates or in different ways, which was exactly his point.
