I have +3500% (solo), but wasn't really enough on the gobbo I ran into (we were three in that game I think). Don't remember exactly how much I got, so can't do the multiplication...  | ||

Thanks. I'll have a go with your method. I'll let you know how it goes.  Edit: ok I did your goldskin and boon of the hoarder setup (goldwrap --> don't have to bother with defence) and got a 29M streak after a few tries with ~7500% gold find. I think I'll be able to do a 50M with a few more tries. It really is an art to string together the streak... Like, ration how you pick up the gold, kite some enemies with you as you go so you got food on the way to next pack, and so on.... An avarice band would also help a lot I think, but I didn't have one around, and apparently never considered it useful enough to cube. | ||

I first tried to just run through quickly with teleport and aether walker and some tal rasha build with heatwave (lighting spectral blade + delseres shame + cubed fragment of destiny, calamity, 10 mana blizzard). goldskin, boon of the hoarder (lvl 50), quite a bit of +gold find. +8000% gold find in single player. Not that much pickup range (no avarice ring), but my pet picks up gold for me. I would frequently get 10M streaks, occasionally 20M, and a record of around 30M over maybe 5-10 tries. Clearing the entire levels gives somewhere between 70M and maybe up to 100M, going straight to to exit usually gives 50M-60M or so. I can't go much lower in gold find, and more would've been convenient. So you really have to chain the entire way to the exit, but I kept going into dead ends, or get 3-4 screen without enemies and lose my streak. I think it's possible to do consistently if you are good at kiting enemies after you, that you can pick of one at a time to make it back from dead ends or through dry patches. I'm not however. Next I though I could pre-kill all the enemies, drop, but not pick up the gold, and then just run back through the level and pick everything up. You know how the map look, no lost time on opening doors (so that you can teleport through) or killing monsters. You have to stand still while killing monsters, and unequip your pet, to avoid picking up (too much gold). After you have killed a group, and you are surrounded by gold, you just teleport out, and no gold is picked up. This would work, but I am pretty sure there is some limit to how much crap D3 allows on the floor before the cleaning patrol comes out... I'd easily chain my way to 35M-40M on the way back (go up and re-equip the pet for lazy pickup), but at a certain point when I was approaching the entrance, the gold was just gone for 5-10 screen, where I am pretty sure I had killed enemies. This happens two or three times. Hmm... Well, I really liked the convenience of scouting out the map, and opening all the doors to avoid blank teleports, followed by "where the hell is the closed door??", that frequently would cost me the streak. So I next tried to go through and scout and open all doors, but not kill enemies. You pull out all the small guys from the walls (go into all the corners where they spawn) and so on. You will also notice any long stretches without enemies. Then, once at the exit, you just go back and kill everything, reliably teleporting where you want, and avoiding dead ends. I took my weapon off and ran in opened all doors activated all the scarab spawns and got the layout of the level then tried to get the gold streak, I would recomend doing this for anyone who havent done this yet (I did it as barb not wiz but shouldnt be to different) | ||

If you find yourself having excess crafting mats of any sort, you are not gearing efficiently. I barely gamble for anything specific nowadays, it's a huge waste of time. | ||

Note that if you use reroll in cube, you will find that you run short of souls very quickly, some TX speedrifts are probably needed as a combination to make this sustainable. Overall, if you are looking for better base gear, do bounties/TX rifts for mats/souls. If you are looking for plvls / gem lvls / augments, do GRs. | ||

The cube recipe lets you convert between white/yellow/blue at a 1:1 ratio. It is always better to pick/salvage white items as each white item salvages for many more mats. Picking/salvaging yellows gives you mat per item and is time inefficient. Therefore the quickest way to get basic mats is actually just picking off whites from racks on battlefield of eternity in A5. | ||
