Someone should try that pickup line BTW. "Hey, let me show you my magic. Come with me home and we'll find out what's coming out of my wand" guaranteed success, 100%.

So i just made a season char(2days ago~) for the Cleave barbarian weapon. Found it and meanwhile iam thinking up some good build that is good on its own etc i just found the charge set. Got plenty of it ofcourse in none-season but actually never played with it till now, its a fun set.
For the cleave build, iam thinking of the ancient spear one handed weapon + the cleave one. Furnace in cube. The generater legs. Thinking of going Cleave and then Ancient spear - bolder toss as combo. They both want alot of fury so they kind of synergy but we see maybe bad to gain 50-100% fury for this build etc.
Already waiting for Next major patch, gonna be excting with new items and than refined sets. Might see charge up there etc.
And ye, when i saw the double cache buff yesterday i dropped the season char and when 10+ cache. Gonna try and farm alot today and tomorrow to. Damn.

I use a Natalya/Danetta DH to do bounty farming. Being able to spam vault makes some of the longer bounties more tolerable.

I realize now that the season journey Guardian rank might actually be withing my reach. I have the conquests, and will have solo60 as soon as I can get a not-awful grift... (I have 59 in sub-10, so I'm assuming I'll get it eventually).
The only one I can't figure out for the life of me... T10 rift in 3 minutes sounds crazy! How easy would it be with a good group? Will my hota barb, archon wiz, or delrasha wiz be able to in the first place?
|
T10 in 3 minutes seems like either an extreme luck thing or a 4 party group thing. If you have four people who can handle GR55 easily, then you just roll Rifts repeatedly until you get one that's wide open and everyone splits up.

tl;dr: Is there a good, detailed article or video about the evolution of D3 from it's early hype, through its' disastrous start, up until now, where we are almost playing a completely different game?
I bought RoS during (or just before?) S3. I was actually asking about the game here, whether it's worth it or not, haha. I'm an "if there's a paladin class, I'm playing it" guy, so I just wanted to have a go with the crusader. Then got sucked into rifting, and gearing, and rifting again, all that jazz. But one day I was like "Do I want to play today? Naah, maybe tomorrow." Tomorrow, however, never came. I had fun with my Crus, but was too lazy to even level a char to 70 (did not want to be powerleveled, so I can see all the skills and runes in a streamlined progress - it's also fun using skills you'll never ever use again), not to mention gearing it up. I was like meh, it was quite cheap, so I rated my decision of purchease OK.
I forgot I even subscribed to /r/Diablo, until I saw the posts about S4. I skim-read it, and made me a little bit interested. Nothing like "wow, I have to get back in there!", but just to see this new cube stuff everyone is singing odes to. And here I am, addicted to the game as ever. I don't even care if tomorrow I just got bored with it, I know I'll be back for S5. Then for S6, and so on. Hell, I would pre-order the next expansion right now without knowing anything about it - as long as I'm reassured that the same team is/was working on it. Which leads me to my point I was thinking a lot about lately: How the fuck did this game ended up here?
It has to be among the biggest saves in the video game history. I got my D3 (collector's edition even) for free back then, and after playing for ~40+ hours, I would've traded it for a doggy snack, and I didn't even have a dog. It was pretty damn great while playing through the campaign. I thought this new skill system is amazing, the fights looked epic and gooey and dark, and it all just seemed perfect. Then I nearly slept in front of the computer during Nightmare Act 2. Which was fine, Nightmare Act 2 was the highest I ever went in D2 single player as well. Time to go online (well yeah, technically I was already online for the campaign as well, but you get it) and kill Diablo a million times, or collect keys somewhere, or whatever it is people do in D3! But people didn't do shit!!!! I was told to just gear up. Okay, but... I mean... Should I just kill random monsters or what?
Getting better gears via the AH was fun first, but all of a sudden I found myself playing some kind of a market simulator. It was everything but fun. The only reason I stayed as "long" as I did, because for a while I was seriously considering to do the same thing as the guy who was more knowledgeable in D3 than me did: play D3 as a job for money. Then I slapped myself and never looked back.
The game was a disaster and Torchlight 2 shat all over it. Blizzard cut two (can I say 3 with Titan? 2,5?) anticipated games because they did not hit the Blizzard-standard, then they released this?! The state of the game right now amuses me on so many level I had to read about it, because I want to know how you turn shit into gold. I want to do that too! I'm reading the reddit AMA right now with the devs from 3 years ago, where the guys are saying 1.0.3. will set things on the right path, but judging from the sacking of Mr. J a year after, and the community's outburst of happiness, I'm gonna make a wild guess and say 1.0.3. was not the Holy Grail.
But I'd like to know more! It would be really helpful if there was an article or video which guides me through the entire history of D3 - reception upon release, first complaints, hotfixes, patches, the fall of AH, etc.
edit: oh yeah, and PvP, LOL. Whatever the hell happened with that one. It was shown when the game was announced. It was said it'll come in a later patch because they couldn't finish it for the release. Now it's like Voldemort, I can't find anything about it from the blues.

Summary of this week - made team member in three seperate groups, couldnt contact half the team members, tons of homework, not enough sleep, rejected by girl and constantly reminded by friends shes hanging out with some douchebag,
3 day break, gonna sleep so hard, game so hard, play my HC barb
Today I finally got the full BK set, got 3 gems to level25, found out I could easily farm gr 35 (2-4 minutes) at paragon 200, got RORG, thought it would be a good day.
He just fucking died to some trash mob cuz i was distracted lol
Im gonna go work out fuck this shit
Why is wastes barb so broken anyhow? huge damage reduction + massive semi-ranged damage aoe while mindlessly right clicking is really ridiculous o.o. I mean I love it but it feels really broken

T10 rift in under 3 mins is easy, all it takes is one rift that has an open first level and you should do it. I did it in a grp of 3 as I recall, we tried to push the under 2mins achievement, but best we got was 30 seconds too late. Need an open rift with a conduit right out the gate for that one I think.

Over 1k cache mats this weekend. Oh my.

One quick question about playing an Uliana's monk: What is the balance on using SSS on cooldown, vs waiting for a broken promises proc?

why the fuck blizzard I found both focus and restraint on my DH yesterday, and even though they were pretty crappy I figured I might as well use it. Working pretty well so far. Can't you just enchant it to change str -> dex?

Honestly, Broken Promises feels kind of terrible, mostly because CoE and abusing snapshotting plays so much smoother than playing around the irritating "attack vs hit" mechanics of BP.
But basically with BP, at higher Grifts at least, you should be spamming SSS to proc BP. It's your survival and your damage, and you're basically going to be waiting to luck into your crits.

why the fuck blizzard Wouldn't feel too bad about it. Ancient Focus/Restraint is kind of meh compared to CC/CHD/C(D)R trifectas which don't benefit from Ancient at all (unless you want that big secondary resist).

Agreed on all points. The AH grind was what made me quit. The AH grind wouldn't have even been necessary if it weren't for the insane difficulty of Inferno. Jay Wilson infamously said on launch day that they were aware of how much better the top players of the world are than their in-house players, so they doubled the damage and health of all monsters in Inferno difficulty at the last minute without any testing. In a way it was pretty cool to watch the Race to World First Inferno Clear, but for the average player caught in the middle, it was horrible. I quit at Act 2 Inferno (the wasps... you know the ones). However it got pretty fun when the expansion rolled around, since that was after everything had been retooled and, well, basically rebuilt from scratch. I haven't kept up with the game in a while, but it sounds like they're adding cool new fun stuff all the time, which is great. True to form for Blizzard to never give up on their games post-release.

2.3 is what made diablo 3 from a bad game to average game to me. If they keep this track however, like adding a "real" endgame and more build diversity etc i might call it a good game someday.

I give up. nothing helps me to get any barb ancient weapon. Even 200 times of "hope of cain" and 50 time of "law of kulle" today didnt help me a damn barb ancient weapon. I do have both ancient bk but got them at public games lootshare.
