There's quite a few TL'ers I see hovering around ~1600 in chat every day, quite a few not on that list(which I'm sure Smash knows isn't complete, he was just throwing some names out for modesty it seems).
On the other end, there are some seriously TERRIBLE people that sit in that channel, not counting the new players that have an excuse, talking some of your typical 'level 30 and 300 wins doesn't mean shit' players. And if I call you terrible you must suck cause I'm not that great either.

Sigh I haven't played LoL at all lately. As much as I like the game the imbalance is just completely retarded and I hate the fact that I need to play some tryhard champions in order to have a chance of winning.

So I've been playing Eve all day so far, and she seems to lack something, maybe actual burst damage? Or a slow to help her team-friendliness. Mostly Eve just seems like a follow-up initiator/ganker. For items, I've come to the conclusion that stacking RoA is good. I got Lichbane one game, wasn't really impressed with it. Nor with Sheen.

I'm back to playing pantheon so I really don't wanna hear it about how you need to tryhard to win. Yes it makes life easier to play Kayle or some shit, but if playing Veigar really means that much to you, just do it and become the best fucking Veigar out there.

I'm just saying nuke -> leap stun -> auto-attack with lizard buff -> ghost chasing with automatic crits under 15% hp and basically 0 animation nukes every < 4 seconds is the best level 3 jungle gank in the game.

Except it's not random. With some exceptions, the same people that were high Elo unranked before ranked existed(so when it was for more than getting some practice in on a champ before you queue it in ranked 1700 brackets) are the same people that are rated highly in ranked. That's the comparison he is making, capped unranked = 1700+, and the 1800-1900+ unranked people being the 1500-1700 ranked players. Hasn't the ranking been reset on normal when ranked got out? I'm not sure but I don't think I have a ELO in normal and I was pretty high b4 season one. I used to play alot of 3v3 normal b4 ranked came out and we managed to defeat good teams, I remember beating MegaZero team once. Maybe someone can check my profile @ SaiBot and tell me if I have an unranked rating ? Wow this guy is terrible on top of having absolutely no idea what is going on hahaha.

thinking about making a Shen gimmick build where I run energy runes, build for AP and CDR, steal blue buff, and then spam Feint.

actually going randuins + ghostblade may be a better course of action, then blue elixer.... hm. Gimmicks require a lot of careful thought.

Southlight/Mogwai are both rated in the top 500 and both consistently show up on livestreams by top players. You, on the other hand, claim to have beaten some team I've never heard of one time.

Great, EU servers still down. Grabbing SC2 achievements against medium comps with incredibly bad allies in coop mode? Fuck yeah. Medium because the queue doesn't take forever like against Insane.
EDIT: Nah, no fun achievements left... damnit, what else is there to do...

With most standard (i.e. squishy) carries, a few chain stuns or ganks can turn the game around. Since Singed makes that so hard to do, he is pretty much the hardest snowballer to stop. I recently decided that Singed and Garen are the two least fair characters in the game because they both just run around doing whatever they want and there's nothing you can do to stop them, you just all die to their accidental forms of damage that are going to hit way too hard regardless of what they spec for. So then I was trying to decide which was better and I think it boils down to this: Spinning around in Circles like an idiot is more physically exerting than just uncapping your poison container and running around like an idiot. It you go for too long, you'd get dizzy and fall over, so Garen occasionally needs to stop spinning around like an idiot and regain his sense of balance. Thus there are little periods of time when Garen is not able to accidentally kill you just for being in his presence because he's getting too dizzy. Singed on the other hand can just leave that shit uncorked and run around forever. Hence, Singed is the least fair, most brokenest character to ever be made in any game ever. m i doin' it rite? In terms of characters who you basically can't do anything to, Shaco has to be up there. I don't care how hard Riot nerfs him -- he's simply unfun to play against. Such poor game design. How is that poor game design? I actually really like how Shaco is made, such a fun/intresting champion. He's a clown that turns invisible and stabs people in the back, pretty baller. His ulti is awesome too.

I've been practicing ranged heroes in Normal games recently, because I find it absurd that I've played this game for a year now and I still can't play them worth a damn.
WOW. I'm amazed at how different it is! Usually, I'm the guy playing the annoying hunk of meat that gets up in your face and disables you, but seeing it from the other side is certainly an enlightening experience. I've tried out Ghost/Clease and Cleanse/Flash (need it for fucking Urgot's ult, that guy is in every Normal game...) Ashe with little luck. I think I'll practice Tele/Flash, I liked that setup the most back in beta.
I also really suck at arrowing. I don't think this is something that I can learn by reading anything; I just have to keep practicing until I develop the right instincts for it. For example, in a recent game, I kept trying to arrow a Vladimir, which always ended in complete failure even if I'd aimed it right.
What runes should I run on her, and what masteries should I use? Don't suggest HP quints because I don't have them (I think they're pretty strong, don't get me wrong, but after level 1 dragon fights stopped happening I just didn't see the point in them, so I never bought them), or any kind of Armor Penetration rune (I know that they're absurdly powerful, but I'm not going to spend my time on something that's going to get nerfed, so I never bought them). If you're wondering why I have MPen but not ArPen, I bought the MPen runes before I learned that the devs were going to fuck around with penetration, then decided not to get ArPen.
I think with enough practice I'll learn how to handle every matchup, but if you guys have any tips that can accelerate the process of learning, I'd greatly appreciate them!

I totally agree! He's ment to be annoying as piss. Arguing against shaco is like arguing against lurkers. I mean wtf?

If you don't want HP or APen Quints on Ashe, get MSpeed (or Avarice for the lulz). For marks you really should go APen, but I guess ASpd is the next best choice. MP5/L seals. Glyphs either MP5/L or CDR or MRes/L imo. I am running Ghost/Cleanse and am pretty happy with it. Ashe generally is the target of a lot of CC if she is doing well. But I guess either combination of Ghost/Cleanse/Flash/Teleport will do fine if you know how to use it. Masteries should imo include Meditation, especially if you don't have MP5/L glyphs. Everything else depends on the way you play her. MSpd is a good idea as well.
A while ago a fun build was suggested that I have been very successful with (at my probably not so high level that is): Open with something like Boots, DShield, DBlade, or Regrowth and HP pots as money allows. I currently prefer Regrowth. DBlade requires you to autoattack a lot to regain health so I dislike it. Get Bruta, Boots of Swiftness (or Mercs/Mobility if you want), Ghostblade, Bruta. Then I like to pump red Elixiers and get defense/offense as the game requires/allows. Generally I like GA or Banshees as next item. 11/0/19 Masteries with APen/CDR are good with this build, also CDR glyphs. Poke with Volley, initiate with ECA, keep spamming Volleys during battle and oviously try to pick off squishies.
WQWEWR, R>W>Q>E.
With the low CD Volley you do a lot of damage, and ECA on 45 second CD is godly. Don't know how viable this is at higher levels of play, but it sure is fun.
Playstyle info as far as I can help, some of this is stupidly simple/obvious, still mentioning it, can't hurt: Safety first. Ashe is squishy as hell and has no escapes. If you can't reach an enemy squishy safely, keep whacking the tanks or reposition if possible. If you get CC'd and have no Cleanse you're most likely dead. Even with Cleanse you are dead in many cases. Toggle Q off when fighting minions, toggle it on when fighting champions. When being chased, fire a Volley backwards and keep running, rinse and repeat. Don't ECA Vlad unless he has just pooled and you have the firepower (full team against him alone) to bring him down quickly. Generally Vlad is a bad target for ECA, he doesn't really care too much about it. Hawkshot to scout. Really useful.

Teammate(s) say(s): NOOOO! Don't pick Heimer! They nerfed him so hard! And the other team has trist, and kayle, and anivia who all counter him!
*oberon goes 6/1/6 with Heimer, out-CSing Trist in mid*
Teammate says: dude your lucky they sucked Teammate says: Heimer would've gotten rolled
Why do people think Heimer is bad all of a sudden? Three turrets in one spot is usually a waste of mana, and getting level 2 turret before level 8 is a waste of skill points. The nerf basically slightly adjusted his mid-late game. Are his turrets such a defining feature people don't notice the 1000 range nuke?

Bad game design is "this sounds so cool!" Good game design is "this is so fun!" Shaco is continuously banned because he's zero fun to play against. He's a bad piece of game design, and should be removed or reworked. The entire invisibility mechanic in LoL is tacked-on: it has special champions, special items, and is hugely binary (ignore it and it's awesome, buy oracle's/vision wards and it's mediocre). I just don't think it adds anything to the game.
