I never suggested Xin was a good mid. I stated that I was playing Xin and that I personally was going middle. I also stated that against lowbies I have been very successful with Xin going mid. Never did I say that Xin was good at going mid.
That shit develops a lot of bad habits. I'm really sick of people taking mid with crap like Xin Zhao when I play Kass or people refusing to go Morgana with my Garen because "that Warwick is my friend so I will lane with him". Yes, he is your friend, but Garen with Morgana produces kills and wins lanes and laning WW is a fail no matter how you look at it.
This egoistical approach many people have does the game no good. It's common for many people even here on TL. "My team sucks so I will go mid and carry" they say and they completely wreck the game with it even though there's a better laning choice in many cases. It gets less common the closer you are to lvl 30 because people slowly tend to realize there's no way to win 1v5 but still the amount of laning composition fuckups is enormous. Yesterday, because of another premade I had to lane as Garen with GP. He didn't even deny or harass, he just spent all his mana lasthitting creeps with Parrley. Yes, this made him farm alot, but that lane was SOOO much of a wasted potential.

It's actually really interesting, that the person I play by far the most with(Inflecta) and I almost never lane together. He still is by far the best lasthitter I've ever laned with and we have to split the lasthits really lamely and normally our games end up going poorly if we lane together because neither of us has the farm we're used to. Lately I guess they have been going better because we've just totally dominated our lane opponents, but still I find it interesting that we're some of the only friends who only lane together if no other choices are available.

I'm getting really frustrated with this game. I was +27 about a week ago, and then I've been stuck with a bunch of terrible players, leavers, or in this game an Amumu who intentionally fed over 15 times because he decided he didn't like Mordekaiser. Combined with a Shaco who said "I don't believe in teamfights" and also ran into death, I couldn't believe me and Morde alone almost managed to win the game. Eventually we lost however and I am full of nothing but rage and hatred at solo queue.

Yep, when I asked him why he doesn't do it, he replied that "it is a waste of mana" and continued farming with Parrley.

gangplank / garen is one of the strongest lanes in the game and can completely wreck almost any lane. Gang denies and Garen comboes if someone tries to get close, soon it's a complete exp and minion kill deny.

Idk, they had a Trynd who would just heal any damage I inflicted to him and a Ryze that nuked me to shit whenever I tried to get close. Even if GP denied and harassed, he wouldn't really reach Ryze who only went close for a nuke and harassment on Trynd is useless unless you really deny him any kind of creep attacking, if you let him attack creeps he heals very fast. Which you can't because otherwise Ryze will nuke the shit of you with a huge manapool. Going for Ryze is not an option as well, because at close range his nukes are like godly and there's always a Trynd to finish you off.
And to be honest, Garen has great burst, so he can easily kill with another burst or a champ with a slow/stun. GP lacks both, so I dunno.
We won that game btw but never before I've felt so useless as Garen in early game.

Trynd/Ryze should be easy as ever with Garen. Right at the start run up to them and spin in their face, Ryze should lose about half his hp and run like a girl. If the gang was smart enough to sometimes harrass with parrrley, you should have dominated. You can seriously stand on their side of the creeps and just spin in their faces whenever they get close. Your gang should have the brains to stand on that side as well and parrrley them when they get close. You can deny that lane super easily almost by yourself.
But if he really was terrible well that sucks.
Oh and Garen and Gang lane is amazing, not because they can kill(although Garen does that all by himself whenever his ignite is up), but because they'll outlevel their opponents like crazy. After you're lvl 4 and your opponents are 2, you can just dive the ryze as you please and GG.
Garen is probably the strongest duo laner in the game at the moment btw. Having a Sion or a Taric as your lanepartner lets you utterly decimate every lane you can think of, while with most others you can just deny and later(as soon as you hit lvl 4) dive opponents who are at about 3/4 hp.

I love playing with Caller because he seemingly doesn't give a ship and then 1v5's their team and then we all laugh on vent.
I loved playing with GoKodo's soraka because he prioitized giving me mana over himself and I spammed spirit fire every time it was up just to deny their last hitting 
I love playing with ForestJ's Anivia because he makes it look easy and I'm a failure at Anivia.

I love playing with everyone in liquidparty because they know enough of what the're doing that I can just heal and autoattack and we still win.

I've been playing a lot as Amumu (I'm only lvl 12 and have only been using free champions) and so far in LOL I've had no better feeling than snaring their whole team with my ult. I've already had a bunch of games where we're losing and then we suddenly ace their team. I'm sure this doesn't happen at higher levels, but it's awesome for now.

Speaking of which, I lost my first ranked game with amumu last night by doing 5 man arranged with my scrub friends who thought that Kat should do her ult before Amumu does his so that she can get Aegised by Pantheon rather than doing a fuckton of damage. Yea I think I'll probably be playing with them a bunch more...

Actually it happens all the time. Amumu's the best at turning a disadvantageous game around.
